Jorderz I only part agree with what you say because our players and most of theirs knew the ball was out and stopped. If it had been inches out then stopping would be inexcusable but when it was so far out it was IMO understandable. I don’t understand why the 4th official, over whose head the ball also went, didn’t communicate with the ref that it should be called back. I think football has a lot to learn from rugby regarding the roles of officials. They stopped calling them linesman, which indicated they checked the lines and the ball stayed within them, and started calling them assistances. I think they’re more obstacles than assistants.
