Sorry ASLEF, but I disagree. It matters not whether they were the better side, we were undone by a completely inept (yet completely predictable) piece of officiating, and it just isn't acceptable in this day and age that something like this can happen.

Sorry buffy but Man U looked like a different team from the start of the second half. If we'd lost 2-1 then maybe we could argue that we were robbed but we conceded 3 goals in 13 minutes so even if VAR had disallowed the first goal I'm not sure we'd have got a result.
We lost because Man U were the better team
The Moyes team is an improvement on the Pellegrini team but there is still a lot of work to be done

The dreadful decision to allow the first goal to stand, rightly or wrongly, completely disrupted us; there's very little certainly that we wouldn't have got a result, or even a win, if that initial, wrong, breach hadn't happened.

In the 20 minutes before they scored they had five shots on goal, we had one.
We were awful after halftime and Man U were better
The last 30 minutes was all Man U and they looked as if they’d score every time they came forward. We still hold the record for losing the most points from a winning position and generally that’s because, with few exceptions, we are incapable of finishing teams off. We had 6 shots on target and 10 off target. Most of those were in the first half. They had 6 on and 8 off and I think all but one of those was in the second half.
We didn’t play well in our three previous games and after today you could wonder if we looked as if we were playing really well first half because they were diabolical to put it mildly. Once they put their minds to it they completely outclassed us and we could hardly get near them.
Once they put their two world class players on, you mean, rather than their minds to it. We lost that game because we did not make the most of our first half chances. Once they came & went, their two world class players came on & did the rest. No shame in that.
I am not gonna blame the lads for losing. It’s the first time we have lost by more than 1 goal since the opening day. We have 17 points from 11 incredibly tough games on paper & a positive GD. We move on from this one. We have lost four games this season, three of those to Arsenal, Liverpool & Man Utd. We were more than good enough for 65 mins but that unfortunate first goal, which was 99% out of play, swung the game their way & we could not stem the tide.
MOTD showed that the ball was out by about a yard it would seem but suggested that VAR doesn’t have the technology. Murphy said the linesman was already on his way down the line but WHY. His first priority is to man the line and watch to make sure the ball doesn’t go out of play. If he turned his back as soon as the ball was kicked it’s dereliction of duty. Anything after that is secondary However it was still a Man U love in especially Pogba.
Also, why hasn't the BBC match report been amended to state that the ball was clearly out and that it was an extremely poor decision to let the goal stand?
I think what grates is that everyone seems to dismiss it as "just one of those things", I think GN referred to it as a "freak", but, what a surprise, it happens to the benefit of a "big" team. If this happened against Man Utd (not that anyone would let it), it would be a much bigger story; officials are fundamentally scared of making a "poor" decision against the bigger clubs as the fallout is much bigger, so, whether they admit it or not, there, 100%, is a bias in favour of the bigger clubs.
The ability to see if the ball has gone out of play in any area of the pitch is something that needs to be sorted. The game then goes dead. It’s like cricket continuing to allow wickets to fall off no-balls. You cannot allow goals to be scored following the ball going out of play on any part of the pitch. It’s a black or white decision, in or out, not a subjective call. Having no cameras that can tell that, is very poor.

Edit - I'm not saying it's impossible, just wanna have more than some Trump style 'fact'.

I don’t think it is booing. I’m not sure it’s supposed to be a moment of silence either.
