  • We don’t hold leads well when it’s one goal
  • Foul on Ogbonna goes unpunished as usual, and they score
  • We don’t hold leads well when it’s one goal

Because we let in goals against City and Liverpool

    We are not alone there
  • I so hate the bias of reffing in the Premier League atm.
  • Their possession on that goal came from Yarmo giving it away right in the centre.
  • That is shocking defending
  • Thought Ogbonna was obstructed there
  • Yarmolenko’s fault
  • Lanzini and Benrahma look like clones.
  • Haller’s gotta go

    Not good enough
  • We have to be so much smarter when fouled in the future
  • See everyone picking out Yarmolenko, surrounded by 4 or so players

Plus the ball was in play for a while between Yarmo losing it and the goal
  • This game was there for the taking but oh well
  • I hate it when the commentator is so unashamedly biased.
  • Why the hell is Carragher on comms?

Going OTT cos their CB wins a few headers, brilliant.
  • Oh well

The boys played well, but Liverpool grinded the result as they do so often

Not too fussed about this, was a free hit

2-1 not an unexpected result. Now let’s see how we do in our next 3 games.
  • A lot of hard graft for nothing unfortunately. We played well in my view and limited Liverpool to very few real chances. We didn't have enough bite up front however.
  • Tbh, 2-1 is a decent result. We still have a positive goal difference and we have now played the big guns and despite our start we have now got 8 points already.

    Onwards and upwards.
  • Gutted that, yet again, we're on the wrong end of a really soft penalty. Commentator said there's contact so he can go down...... this is sooooooo wrong. That contact wouldn't have caused a 5 year old to fall over, so the fact that he went to ground means that he dived.

There is no way that is given at the other end, absolutely no way whatsoever. Dreadful decision by the ref.

Also, in the build up to their second goal, Ogbonna was completely obstructed, yet Friend let it go. It was poor by Yarmalenko, but Friend should have blown at that point.
  • Typical Liverpool cheating performance. Much improved from us against previous campaigns
  • Disappointing outcome. Didn't deserve to lose. Dubious penalty for Liverpool. Haller is not a lone striker and was very poor, no ball control, no pace, no anticipation, no desire though he won a couple of headers. WHU have been mugged for £45m and will be lucky to sell him or even £5m. Yarmolnko did more in 15 mins than Haller the entire game and should be preferred for the next game ahead of Haller unless Moyes wants to change the formation. Hopefully, get a better result next week.
I think, we have now already dropped 7 points from winning positions this season. If we retained the lead, we would be hovering near the top.
  • So Arthur does what Arthur does and we're surprised. Not only did he commit the foul, he almost stopped and placed the ball on the penalty spot too. 😂
  • Always gutting to lose but let’s not forget their front 3 is amongst the most lethal anywhere in world football and we didn’t give them much. No way our confidence will be affected after that, however Antonio is a big miss.

You can see why moYes hasn’t been starting or playing Haller much
  • Gutted we lost.... think this show’s Haller is not good enough to play in the position he is played in.... the lone striker... but was not embarrassed by the performance
  • Given Liverpool and City often batter us

Going 3-2 across the two games, picking up a point (almost getting another today) os a massive improvement
  • Pengeman £5 million you are having a laugh! Haller was brought in prior to David Moyes returning to us so it is little wonder he doesn't want to play him. He was purchased on the basis of his success at Eintracht so if he isn't performing then you need to question whoever scouted him or the manager. It won't be the first time DM hasn't been able get the best out of a very good striker just look what he did to Hernandez at Old Trafford! He has made it plain he doesn't rate him and will get rid of him as soon as he is able to. If Marseille had had the funds in August he would have left us then which IMHO is a shame.
  • Well, many of the players were brought in prior to DM returning to us. But he doesn't seem to have a problem playing them.

    What makes Haller different?
  • What makes Haller different?
    He is rubbish, imo.
