I've got a novel idea, maybe the Moyesiah could persuade the under-performing big money signings to start playing to the potential that we all know they have.
This.
Rebalance before rehauling. Get others performing. He's shown they have competition.
True to some extent. But there are areas that definitely need strengthening; LB and CB in particular. I know I've given him some stick, but Cresswell has long since peaked and I can't see the best manager in the world improving him, let alone Moyes.
Oh I agree about making a few changes. LB is definitely one. For me, a striker is the other priority, unless Antonio is 100% going to be a striker.
I just think really targeting those signings is better than making too many changes, not that we shouldn't make changes. I think Anderson still might be able to do something. It's interesting that when you consider key passes, Anderson has been far more involved in creating chances than assists suggest. To me, that's because he likes to cut in and then either do something himself or reverse it to an overlapping full-back or another player who's pulled onto the edge of the box. He's very good at that but part of his bad form is not having the players giving him the right support. A better LB might do that. I'm not saying his bad form isn't also his fault but I think things can be worked on and I'm not sure what assurances we're going to get from other players, especially when we might have to take a big loss on his fee.
On the "West Ham Way" podcast Ex reckons we could go after Callum Wilson if Bournemouth are relegated. 41 goals in 125 Premier League appearances (108 starts)
ASLEF, Is he young and hungry enough for us? High transfer fee and he would have to stand outside the London Stadium & apologise for cheating us the other season. No.
ASLEF, I was just using the statement about David Moyes wanting to sign young and hungry players who want to prove themselves. We could have had Vardy if we had been willing to pay his transfer fee.
Arsenal, West Ham and Everton are all interested in signing Barcelona's France World Cup-winning defender Samuel Umtiti, 26, on loan. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish)

That seems rather unlikely. Isn’t he on like £200k a week?

WHU Champo ;ok.
Plus, wage bill ... FFP cap....
Doing it that way is, I agree, hardly the behaviour of a well run club with sound financial management.
I wonder if the auditors would accept it, too.
Nearly all you have been wrong this season especially at the start.
I think I was only person , who put 42 points asap please , find out for your self
Me
Again 42 POints asap
Full proper team in cup games
When we get Knocked we can say “ we done our best”
The Express reckon Newcastle will offer £20m for Wilson if Bournemouth are relegated
With Antonio bulldozing down the flanks again
For myself Callum Wilson would be a "meh" signing.
He seems to have put his injury problems behind him, 31 starting appearances this season and 29 last
He has got 8 goals in an underperforming Bournemouth which is ok, but 14 goals and 9 assists last year which is very impressive
Obviously the deal needs to be right, as he will still cost a lot (and there ar more pressing positions), but I think he'd be a good signing
Think it's unlikely though
Talented player who has been injury plagued and is already 32 and probably on big wages (so Jack Wilshere but 4 years older)
