If we really have to sign an older striker then it has to be Defoe. Sunderland are unlikely to stay up & it's a perfect fit. He knows where the net is & would do a good job for a couple of seasons. For me it's a no brainer.
Defoe wasn't for sale at the price the Dave's would have been offering. Had they (exaggerating for effect) offered say £20m I think there would have been every chance of him re-joining West Ham
lol on my facebook someone put that our last 20 goal a season striker was Teddy Sherringham over 12 years ago. West Ham have gone the 3rd longest period out of all PL teams without a 20-goal striker.

Maybe with an one exception ;biggrin I would like to sign Kompany...
In fact maybe my rule just applies Rooney...
have stayed after refusing to play .
He could've handed in a transfer request but he didn't
If we offered Sunderland £18m, he'd be a Hammer.
He wasn't for sale at £6m, or whatever it was we offered.
West Ham not interested in signing Rooney . The whole story seems to be based on the fact his kid wore a West Ham shirt
Think of all those poor people who have bought their STs on the strength of that...
Grey ;ok ;lol
Zaza by inviting him to his house , Zaza was never the same after that day ;ok
