  • Bottle job fc
  • We deserve it. So passive and pedestrian, such a desperate lack of urgency all game.
  • Terrible terrible performance
  • Frustrating that for the second week in a row, a forward player, trying to do his defensive duties, plays a player on for a goal.
  • I'm disappointed, but not really surprised, by some of the negativity on here.

    A bit of an overreaction?

    Why? We've been really poor.

Bottom line is we've dropped points against Brighton, Villa, Bournemouth and now Palace.

Three wins in eight and we haven't really played anyone decent, City aside.

Such a disappointing club to support sometimes.

I didn’t think it was terrible.

    Some bits were good.

    Some bits were poor.

    Some bits were frustrating.
  • 65 years it doesn’t change!!!
  • We’ve been shocking
  • Apart from one move for the goal we have been terrible let’s be honest
  • And there it is!
  • Palace on 14 points from 8 games

    I mean Palace
  • I don't think we've been shocking or really poor, hence my disappointment with certain comments.
  • g_t_I_d, It is all about expectations. Mine must be misplaced as I expect greater effort and better results.
  • We had a great chance here & we never seized it

That is why I am disappointed

We had a great chance that we let pass us by

Nope I don't think so :ok:
  • Rice’s moment of insanity gave palace all the impetus they needed.
We rarely show any urgency in our play. Even when we had 6 minutes of stoppage time we strolled around and played it backwards.
  • Fair enough, grey.

    I thought we were terrible.

Moved the ball quickly once in the 90 minutes and scored from it, then just wandered around for the next half hour.
  • If we’d have played well we would have not lost

    Simple

    Palace aren’t (& weren’t) that good.
  • To be fair, apart from a few nice finishes, Yarmo I think has been pretty poor all season.
  • Rice will learn from it & he has been great for us but he cost us that match
  • When have we ever, when we’ve had a chance to get a good league position, delivered.
  • thorn, It's as if they don't want to grasp the opportunity to progress.
  • That was a performance that merited the result IMO, that's the real West Ham  far too many average performances against a average team in Palace..

This is so predictable IMO, the few good things we did in the game were outweighed by the many mediocre
  • Let’s be honest, aside from Man City we’ve had a very kind run of fixtures (and I include Man Utd in that list.
  • We took the lead and then seemed to say that’s enough. We didn’t deserve to win that but I’m sure they will trot out the usual garbage about seeing the positives and keep on working.
  • When Sky put the stat up about our wins after scoring first, did anybody else die a bit inside?Since December 2018 we've scored first in 20 games and haven't lost any of them.

As soon as I saw that I thought it was pretty obvious what was going to happen.
  • I also thought that when the stats showed that Palace have won the most penalties in the last few years and we’ve conceded the most and I don’t think Oliver had awarded one this season the inevitable would happen.
