I picked the defenders I wanted on the premise that they had either relatively easy games to play that week or they posed a threat also. The 3 main ones being the priciest is a case of their club and their prowess/potential. My over all squad value gives me a bit of an advantage as I can afford a few pricier players.
I may keep a defender or two (outside of the main three) who’ll only play one game that week, maybe not. That’s because there’ll be some who have two hard games (that they may not play in e.g. Valencia) as opposed to one fixture where it’s a kind one. Maybe I’ll change my mind after next week on a few things but I’ve got the majority of the squad in place already for the epic GW 37 against Mrs Grey hehe
That said, I still haven’t got the money I’d like for a couple of people. Alli goes purely because having Son gets me the budge for someone like Sane. He hasn’t been rotated (yet) like Sterling has but he’s also not bringing that much to the table recently. At 7.6 he’s not too much and I have a couple of players I could theoretically pick over him. So Im a little on the fence with him.
Yes Jesus has only just returned and I admit its an indulgence rather than 100% from the head/logic. I should be extra wary of him as he cost me a H2H when he got injured (he was my Captain and I only needed him to stay on the pitch for 60 minutes to win! That 2pts instead of 4 made someone happy against me that week) However, by GW 37 he’ll have had a while playing and training. I have a replacement for him in mind if he breaks down and it means I can transfer more
I guess over the next game or so anyone could get injured or suspended or rotated! I’ve tried to pick players who I think will play both games in 37 but people like Gabbiadini and co at Soton and the Arsenal players could easily be rotated or someone like Sanchez just break down from fatigue. At the end of the day I’ve picked who I think have either the quality or the better opposition to play or both (and left players who’ll probably play twice at Watford, Leicester, Sunderland and WBA out of my squad).
It if all goes south then there’s only one week left of the season and I’ll regroup over the summer and hope I don’t have a ton of injuries at the start of next season which blighted me this time.
just seen Sterling and Sane arent in Citys side today. When Jesus was playing previously, it was the pace of Sane, Sterling and Jesus that was so scary. I dont get that Guardiola has benched both ;hmm One, fair enough.
Guardiola did say he wanted to see how 2 strikers up top would work. However, as mentioned above, surely one of Sane or Sterling need to supply a bit especially without Silvas craft
I am actually having serious doubts about whether Sanchez is worth the investment.
I know he can do amazing things .. but all the time he doesn't, he's just another MF getting you a couple of points per game. And even when he does something spectacular, its still just plain old goal or assist points - no extras for artistic impression.

I do feel sorry for Mrs Grey though as I will not need to make any TFs for the GW37 clash ;wink
Lastly, after looking at the next three games fixtures, I do believe a certain clown in a bikini has got it in the bag ;clap
I am worried though as it seems to brake people Browsers, if you follow the comments of some posters...... ;hmm
