Away from all the politics and religion to what's really important... TRANSFERS!
They dont let you down. They don't cheat on their wives. They don't mislead or lie to you. They're straight shooters! They're warm, cuddly, sweet and loving...
Ok maybe not, but a question for y'all...
I have a great team (obviously). A team that is full of attacking threat AND even has Mane, Kone and Baines on the bench who are no goal/assist slouches! Yes, I know you're asking how is that even possible as two women actually faint at the back of the audience quickly gathering. So whats the problem?
I haven't made any transfers this gameweek!! ;nonono Yes, you read that correctly...
So.... The question....
If you had the choice, for this gameweek, (taking things like current form and opposition team etc of course - Also upcoming gameweeks see all 4 strikers with reasonable fixtures) would you choose the forward pairing of:
A. Carroll & Costa B. Vardy & Deeney
FYI: Carroll plays Hull away + Costa has Palace at home
Vardy has Stoke at home + Deeney has Sunderland at home
I have just enough money to TF out Costa and Carroll for Vardy and Deeney (but not enough to straight swap Deeney for Carroll for example. So it'll have to be 2 TFs or swapping Costa for Vardy or Deeney)
My other striker is Lukaku and for obvious form reasons I am not TFing him out + I brought him in GW21 at 9.5M, a million below his current value. So in my squad that makes him a veteran due for a testimonial lasting 9 GWs!!)
So do I make 2 TFs costing me 4 points. Or do I freakily make none and incur NO deduction plus have 2 free TFs next week. ;hmm To all those wondering if that's ever happened before... Yes, I made no TFs in GW23 ;lol
I'm going to completely ignore the obvious happening that if I TF out Costa and Carroll for Vardy and Deeney that the former two will obviously both score hattricks whilst Vardy and Deeney both get sent off. So... Do it on the basis of form and teams being played against whilst ignoring the sods law aspect
P.s I play Alderz in the H2H this week so he's not allowed to look at this posting ;biggrin Not that his team could live with one that's risen 500,000 places in 4 GWs of course. I just want to spare him a little pain ;whistle ;lol
P.p.s The bookies are offering 1/6 that Mrs Grey says make no transfers ;wink
I was going to type something but just started listening to Alice Fredenham on youtube and now my brains gone to jelly!! I cant remember how many times I've heard it but it still makes me 'wow' every time!
They said Vardy had a knock too (just to mess with me) but he came on and scored. I think if Costa has an ankle/foot injury why chance him in a friendly in France?
The overriding factor for me is that I just don't like Costa. So I might just bin him anyway (also because he'll get an early kick on the ankle from Palace) and satisfy the transfer Gods this week
I noted a few weeks back that they only has Citeh and Everton as tough games but after that pretty comfy. However, Liverpool have tended to better against the higher placed sides. Plus other teams have more games to play over the season. So they only get one spot in my team. Mane's got it but I am growing impatient with him ;hmm
Whilst having a quick browse for more Sterling teasing evidence, I got distracted by something completely different. This squad seems like its cheating? ;wink
I let the lack of GK slide. However, I was outraged by 6 midfielders and wrote to my MP. He agreed it was a scandal to have 6 and to play Son instead of Antonio too ;nonono

You got me!
But that's because I'd choose Costa + Carroll over Vardy + Deeney.
Plus, if you save your 1of your transfers, you can get Ibra next week without paying penalty points. ;biggrin

#forwardthinking
Out for a month (ish), apparently. (BBC)
I like the look of Liverpool's run-in. So have been pondering a bit of a dabble. ;hmm
Back when Liverpool were flavour of the month, I couldn't afford Mane and had considered a Lallana.
In the end, opted for neither.
#itchytriggerfinger ;whistle
Although, Klopp doesn't rotate too much, so you at least have some degree of certainty that your players will play.
Pep ;angry
Which one of us is Mrs Greys triple captain? ;wink
Rush goalie ;wahoo
Both showing as 75% chance of playing and I have them both...
