    I don't share your opinion on Scarles, and I'm personally comfortable with him being our starting left back with Mayers as a back up, and Walker-Peters able to play on the left in a pinch.
    We will have to agree to disagree>....I hope you are proved right, I like his attitude ( Scarles ) just not sure he's good enough, but good luck to him, but I personally hope we buy an upgrade on him....

    I would also point out that the site has been going long enough that folks know how it works - if you (you generally, not anyone specifically) don't want topic sprawl, then post on the relevant threads only.

    It's been annoying me (same transfer comments posted all over the place, repeated ad infinitum, it seems). But everybody seemed to be getting on with it, so I didn't intervene.

    If there is a strong feeling that everyone is fed up with topic sprawl, I am happy to go though and delete any off-topic posts. That will have the double benefit of sparing us the repetition, and perhaps encourage people to take a moment to consider what thread they are posting on.

    I see that Messi has retired from International football today! it's a shame that his last tournament will largely be remembered for a strong suspicion that he was being favoured by officials and an attempt to get Cucerella sent off for covering his mouth, when really he should be above that.

    I am not a Messi fan despite the admittance that he is a brilliant player, I just never saw him as a Maradonna. I think i would have chosen Messi in my team over Ronaldo on most days but Maradonna above both every day.

    I was reading yesterday that a FOI request from highlighted that last season our average attendance at games based on ticket sales was c62,500. However Newham Council turnstile data stats showed attendances as somewhat lower than that at about 49,500. In fact for one evening game against Forest it was about 33,000.
    Surprised that so many people buy tickets but don’t attend. Obviously not everybody can go every time but it seemed a fairly large disparity even allowing for the rubbish we served up.
