Maybe it's just me, but if I had made a deal with DK then I would have stuck with it. When selling houses in the past I have ALWAYS stuck to my original deal even when better offers have came in. One exception was when the buyer suddenly wanted a discount and was not politely informed to go away.
I don't think Nuno is the man to sort out the problems that exist and I can't see him still here at the end of September unless results drastically improve.
But still madness to talk of sacking the manager after two league games.
It's their job to give information to the coach on these new opponents.
( Yes, I know mostly it's on the players, but still.... coach and players are going into the unknown.)
If I'm honest I was gutted he didn't go before the season started, so my basis is what he's done at our club since being here from last season as well, but I really hope to be proved wrong, and we're all entitled to our own opinions, so each to their own ....

Dinos, Kilman, KWP and Scarles arent good enough to play out of defence, its not in their skillset
Hard that 3 players that many think are essential for our promotion push, Bowen, Taty and Dinos were all rubbish today
There must be a new centre back and centre forward arriving. Which means I am disappointed but not despondent just yet.

In any event the stupid shuffle up to the ball should be stopped. If not by a rule change but by the manager.

Unfortunately, we currently look like a side that is unsure how to play. We’ve gone from being a ‘sit back & counter attack’ side, to a side that now has 80% possession. Add to this, we have a soft/frail mentality & a lack of leaders - as shown by the two goals we conceded & how we manage the game. Charlton knew they had a chance.
The 4-4-2 may look good on paper, but it isn’t balanced - there is no way of coordinating attack & defence so what we get is 1) CBs having most of the ball (plus Mads) 2) wide players having lots of the ball (which was wasted today by all four of them) & 3) CMs who then continue to go sideways & backwards. This makes our play slow & laboured, gets the crowd annoyed & gives the other side encouragement. One big takeaway, for me, is I think we need to quickly switch to a 4-3-3 in the short term.
When we lose the ball, we are open, & it was so easy for Charlton to get into our defensive third within 3 passes & 15 seconds. When we had the ball, we didn’t know how to attack. Solomon I actually thought was poor - he had so much of the ball, & was indecisive time & again. Scarles had an absolute mare of a game at LB, & we are going to need to sign a new one with Diouf on the way. Engels I felt a bit sorry for. He was clearly not having a great debut, but he never hid, was always showing for the ball, trying to get on the ball & trying to inject impetus into our game. Kanté also struggled, but was always being given the ball when he didn’t need it.
Second half we were improved on the first, mainly because Orford made a big difference & Musaka I thought was lively & knitted things together better, we got the ball to Bowen more (not enough, IMO) but we did not play like a side who will be dominating this league today, but I think this side is going to need 1) a few games & 2) the transfer window to shut, before we start to see things get better. It has certainly shown them this is going to be an incredibly challenging season.
Despite all that, we should have taken a point.

Yes I know they were free but if those 5 are all experienced in one way or another, the problem is more how different they are in terms of who they were
The game yesterday summed up our frailties in certain areas, mainly CB. Both goals each CB was partly responsible for. All the club can do is sign another one. It’s not Nuno’s fault Mavropanos tripped over his own feet then lost the ball. Then you throw in Scarles who is really struggling right now. What the club needs to do is sign a couple of experienced CBs with a certain character - one that shouts, talks, is ruthless in all they do - or a younger player who is used to playing in the EFL.
I never thought I’d say this, but I’d be putting Areola in goal Tuesday &, if he does nothing wrong, leave him in for Watford. Mads just doesn’t make saves. His shots faced to save ratio must be incredibly low. Let’s get an extra body in midfield too - Engles, Orford, Kanté/Mukasa - & let’s get KWP at LB & Veltman at RB.
We then need to decide who plays up top - Taty or Piroe - & then we need to inject some directness into our game; ball wide, ball into box, bodies in box (all done as quickly as possible).
We are ALL entitled to discuss and share our thoughts.
While you may think it's nonsense, I actually don't....Like I already said, I wish we had parted ways before the season when we had the chance to get rid of him, after all, he failed to do what he was brought in to do, keep us up.....
I know he got Wolves up, but that was a while ago and with a different squad etc etc...
As for the rest of your comments, I do agree with Areola, Mads for me is so weak as a keeper as IMO it doesn't give the defence any confidence.
Kante & Scarles were rightly subbed of yesterday as IMO they were really poor.
I just don't think Scarles is good enough, Kante, let's see......
It's a free hit for NES but an embarrassing scoreline won't help NES' cause.......
As @Lukerz said, we had our chance and didn't do it in the summer, pity, IMO,if we had I'd have personally gone for either Gary O Neil or bring back Slav, but they are now both employed, so we missed our chance, they both have history with us, which IMO, while isn't vital, it does help.
We can have that debate in 5 games, & they’ll be loads of time for it, but discussion from people now saying to change the manager, it is ridiculous, it makes no sense (given we are two games in & still assembling our squad) & won’t happen (now)
The nonsense IMO is that we had our chance to get rid and we didn't.....That's nonsense.
Saying that Luke, other clubs I'm sure have made really snap/quick decisions in the past ( don't ask me to name them, but I'm sure it's happened, so why not........He had the best part of last season as well.....)
