    I like the checked bit. Not sure about whatever that pattern is over the body, but overall I like it. It's crazy to me that it costs £75 for a shirt though. or £110 for an 'elite' shirt.

    Hopefully the 15% sell on was on profit only in which case it’s about £7.2M.
    Can’t remember the last time we sold a player with no add ons and fee upfront and made a profit.

    Our first game of the season will be Pompey at home in the Carabao Cup 3pm Sat 8 Aug

    Apparently its a new thing the Football League have come up with, 1st Round matches played Friday - Monday on the weekend before the actual league starts

    TV matches

    Burnley A 4pm Sunday 16 August (Sky)

    This will clash with Arsenal v Man City in the Community Shield which kicks off 3pm

    Bolton A 8pm Tuesday 8 September (Sky)
    Wrexham H 8pm Friday 11 September (Sky)
    M...scum A 12:30 Saturday 19 September (Sky and ITV)

    Bolton and Wrexham could be rescheduled if teams play in Carabao Cup 3rd round 8/9 September

    I have a little game for you all.

    It occured to me that Mateus Fernandes wasn't the first Fernandes to play for West Ham, and now I've gone down a rabbit hole. Here are 10 pairs of West Ham players who share a surname. Which one of the pair played the most games for us? I've only included those that might require a bit of thinking - no Steve Potts vs Dan Potts here.

    Lukerz we are playing FC Magdeburg as our last friendly. I remember going there in the ECWC away leg. It was in East Germany then and it was a fraught trip with armed guards boarding the coach at the boarder and we were throwing fruit to kids outside the coach and they were grateful for it.

    Antonio is coming across a little delusional here in my view.

    Most people knew he was never going to play for West Ham again from the moment he had the crash. Most would have thought it a miracle if he even played football again, let alone for a Premier league club. She was effectively offering him 20k per month to do his rehab and potentially prepare himself for seeking a new club if possible. I think that's pretty kind.

    See we had a behind scenes friendly with Colchester today with two teams each playing a half. We won 3-2 with goals from Fullkrug, Cornet and Pablo.

    Sorry Buffy, it was a quote from Antonio within an interview in which he was less than impressed that Karen Brady offered him £5K per week and to be able train with the U21's during his recovery and being out of contract. He expressed dissatisfaction and said but some of the u21's are on more than 5k per week, to which she said yes but they haven't just broke their leg in two places.

    All he has spoken is negatively about the club since leaving, which is a huge shame given the fine he spent here. I’d thought he’d be mature enough & experienced enough to deal with individuals whose opinions may have differed to his & have enough affection for the club to deal with those as isolated cases.
