    Even if they dropped the price to $25 a pop I don't think they'd sell many tickets for Uzbekistan v Congo, Cape Verde v Saudi Arabia or Ecuador vs Curacao

    There's nearly a million Ecuadorans living in the USA, they might get a good crowd in New York/New Jersey but not so many in Kansas City

    Has anyone been following this news over the last few days?

    A FIFA referee has been turned away at the US border and now can't officiate at the world Cup.

    I just can't get excited about this World Cup (wasn't that excited about the last one tbh) because it all seems so corrupt.

    For me , I’ll certainly watch the 1st game, come on Bafana Bafana 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 and I’ll watch the early kick offs.. but like others, it for me is a WC I have little interest in, even England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 do little to get me excited…
    The thing about the Somali 🇸🇴 referee IMO is shocking, he is one of the most respected referees on the African continent and has had his dreams crushed…

    Iran has had their ticket allocation taken away so fans can't buy tickets through the Iranian FA, Apparently its all down to the Office of Foreign Assets Control, part of the Treasury Dept. FIFA now trying to sort it out.

    15 Iranian officials have also been denied visas

    Iraq's top striker Aimen Hussein was detained at O'Hare airport in Chicago for seven hours before being allowed into the USA while the team photographer was held for 10 hours before being denied entry

    As if O'Hare wasn't bad enough...

    Absolutely have minimal interest in this world cup, have not felt the hype at all, have not felt the build up, not really excited for any of the group games. Might tune in at the Knockout stages, don't really have any feelings with this England team which is sad after seeing West Ham relegated, maybe this England team could have been a mini spark to a dismal season but nope just don't really care for this World Cup.

    He needs to be allowed access to Mexico and Canada and be allowed to referee in those countries. That would continue to put the spotlight on the USA.

    The referee training camp is in the US. So if he can't join that, he can't officiate even in the other countries, apparently.

    I 'm hoping for an early USA departure and Canada to win the thing.

    Between Trump and the messing with the format I have so little interest.

    I'll probably get interested, I'm a pushover when it comes to competitions, but right now, meh. Astro were outbid by the Malaysian government, and I have to get a converter and faff about with connections. Haven't bothered yet. Downloading when the net keeps dropping is very annoying.

    You might be disappointed claret, USA looked pretty impressive against Paraguay. Most of their players play in top European teams and Poch (remember him) is the coach so I think they may surprise a lot of people.
