    Glad that France turned up in the second half determined to make a game of it - and boy did they.

    I hope one of the terrace songsmiths can create a song about the Malvinas that every opposing team can adopt whenever the Argentine players in the Premier are playing, Villa, Chelsea, Utd and Spurs, every single week. So they realise they can enjoy their banner as they did and bring politics into football but they earn their living over here and will now get it shoved back at them.

    Not watching (again) but just glanced at a match update. Argentina, no shots on target. Game still 0-0 at 80 minutes.

    That was very satisfying..... Fernandez getting sent off made it so much sweeter.

    Were I an Argentina fan I would have exactly the same regret as we do regard managers tactics costing them an opportunity. They played for penalties from the first whistle! They are a great attacking side but don't seem to do so until going behind. Spain may have scored two or three more had they done so but at least they would have attempted join in the game of football and try and score.

    My other view is that as brilliant as Messi has been I think he costs them now as he can't run and is largely anonymous, If he still had top level football in him he wouldn't be in the retirement home of Miami, I feel he should have been used as an impact sub when needed and allow someone with more energy to start for them.

    He is called the GOAT but I wonder how many Argentine fans would have chosen a prime Messi over a prime Maradona for this match? I would go for Maradona every time.

    I was convinced Trump walked off before Rodri picked up the Cup then watched the coverage again and saw Trump actually handed the Cup to Rodri
