Reportedly looking at Pereira, who did so well with Wolves.

He did pretty well when he first came in, sadly

Sky says Pereira has accepted the Forest job, just sorting out the details

He did alright at Wolves the first season, took them from 19th in December to 16th but he had Cunha and Ait-Nouri in the squad

Didn’t do so well without them…

I was disappointed when Spurs sacked Frank as I considered him able to relegate them but I think Dyche getting sacked is in our favour.

Having seen what Nuno can make out of a poor side I feel he fired them into Europe last season against their raw ability. In my view Spurs have the players but were being used poorly where as Forest don't have the players but Dyche would have ground out results better than most.

Liverpool(H), Brighton(A) and City(A) will test any bounce potential and if they pick up nothing from those matches confidence could drain fast.

Not forgetting their two leg Euro tie.

  • @candbsky, Forest and Spurs fans are probably saying they have to play Liverpool (A), City (H) & Arsenal (H) and are expecting us to lose all three!
  • Based on current last six match form Forest are 9th, to our 5th but have to play five of the current top six compared to four.

Meanwhile Palace 17th play four, Brighton 18th, play four, Wolves 19th, play three, and Spurs 20th, play four. These are all in our sites.

    Game on.
  • If this was a fictional TV series I'd be watching happily, but thinking the storyline was bit OTT. Unfortunately, it's not fiction. 🤯
  • Spurs are appointing Igor Tudor. Got sacked by Juventus in October after 7mths in charge, having won only 10 of 24 games. Looking at his record, it seems that he doesn't stay anywhere for very long, but presumably that's exactly why they've appointed him as an interim.
  • Maybe we should have a "how many managers" prediction at the start of next season...is four a record?
  • I did chuckle at a line I read that the Forest owner has obviously misunderstood what Manager of the Month is all about

I thought it was a record, but my Newcastle supporting friend said it happened to Newcastle before too.

  • So Spurs & Forest appointing managers that have history of instant impact but not much beyond that - 12 games from the end of the season with no window & limited time to implement new ideas.

If it works, both sides stay up. They only need 4 wins or so quickly & it’s job done.

Not necessarily. If we get 6 wins or so.....

They also have to play each other.
  • I think 5 may do it 🤞
  • The issue will be that both managers coming in play in a very different way to the manager they are replacing, which means the side have got to adapt to anew way of playing. Spurs have the players but I am not sure Forest do.

I keep changing my view regarding who we have the best chance of catching but as things stand today I think its Forest once again.
  • Forest is the interesting one, because they were in good form before Dyche got sacked. They are 9th in the form table, have only earned one fewer point than us in the last six matches. It's going to be hard to get much of a manager bounce when they were already doing pretty well.

Spurs have 2 points from their last six matches. I can't see a world in which they don't get a bounce, because the bar is phenomenally low.
  • If Forest drop into the relegation zone tonight, what are the odds he sacks the manager?
