Having grown up in the 90s, I didn't get to see the older legends, so for me:
01. Steve Potts
02. Mark Noble
03. Julian Dicks
04. Paolo di Canio
05. Carlton Cole
However, with my reading around the club history, and hearing anecdotes and what have you, I would say an all time legends in my mind would be:
(in no order)
Billy Bonds, Trevor Brooking, Alan Devonshire, Geoff Hurst, Bobby Moore.

Not Hurst, didn't play long enough to be a legend for us, same would apply to
Tevez.

Really?
He's in our top 10 record appearance makers over a 14 year period. That's pretty good going...
If you're going for longevity then the top 5 appearance makers are: Bones, Lampard, Moore, Brooking, Martin.

Geoff Hurst played for the club for 13 years, scoring 180 goals. How many years and how many goals would he have needed to have played and scored before he became a legend?

I started watching the 85/86 season, so for me Mark Ward is in my personnel top 5.
Wanted to be a MF from then on, when ever I played as a kid I was Mark Ward.
