I thought this was one of the poorest ;wave to the Boleyn videos I've seen - the fan produced ones have been a lot better - given this was by a national newspaper who have access to much more footage that the average fan.
The stall holders on Green Street set up because the club was already there and they knew how many thousands they could sell their sweets and burgers to on a match day. Do they not go to other grounds or places where large group of people gather when West Ham are not playing at Upton Park? Do they only sell their sweets and burgers in Green Street 19 times a year? [number of league home games]. I feel for them but I'm not sure the club have an obligation to them.
I have just seen on SSN that from Monday they will be doing their thing on our farewell to our ground.. Haven't got specific time for you but I'm sure if you have SSN you can check .. I cannot write about my own feelings and memories of Upton Park... It's too sad....
I actually quite enjoyed this. I take the points made about the stall holders but I feel sorry for the owners of Nathan's & all of the other small businesses that will suffer when we leave. As for the hooligan stuff, I agree they shouldn't have focussed on it so much but Bill G's story about breaking his wrist deliberately so he good get time off work & go to Tiblisi amused me. Anyway,is anyone else out there feeling as sad as I am now that the impending departure is almost here?
