Lummey, is it that time already? January 2027 transfer speculation

ASLEFshrugged

With too much time on our hands thanks to this ridiculous extended international break what better time to start pondering the possibilities of the Winter window

Express.de says we are interested in 22yo Dutch CB Rav van den Berg (younger brother of Brentford's Sepp van der Berg) who joined FC Koln from Middlesbrough in 2025 for £11,2m. He only made 14 appearances last season (missed 10 games with injury and two for a red card), hasn't played this season and hasn't even made the bench the last two matches

Let the madness begin!

Great name, sign him up

Raheem Sterling? A free agent who no one from the PL. wants but surely he could do a job for us in the championship.

“Surely” is not a word I’d use

Surely not

I am not sure he'd want to play for Championship wages even if we wanted him.

I don't see us doing much business as we did so much in the summer, but I do expect a centre back to arrive in a repeat of the last winter window, probably a loan again.

ASLEFshrugged

He was supposedly getting £23k pw at Feyenoord although he had a load of performance bonuses on top

Maybe he'll get off with probation rather than time inside and can play with a tag on

Midweek away games could be tricky...

Not quite transfer news but C&H reporting that Soucek is in talks about a new contract

Gotta love Big Tommy

Great news... I love Tom and he is a part of the group that felt like a really cohesive group under Moyes. He is a Hammers legend already in my book, maybe not in the Bonds and Brooking league but in the Collins, Bowen and Di Canio level.

If I had my way we would have been straight on the blower to Coufal once we got relegated to bring the dynamic duo back together again.

He actually managed to score a cracker this evening, admittedly it was an OG for England against Czechia, but it was a cracking finish 😂🤣😂.

Right that's that done now, we did what we always do, beat the teams we should beat and fell short against the team that mattered and are firmly in second again.

Please can we get back to some domestic football and our rise to the top of this Championship table!

And on the subject of the transfer window...

By the way, I can see the Wembley Arch from my flat. And I could see it was lit up tonight, so knew there was some kind of shenanigans going on.
