Also if VAR was available, I'm not 100% sure our goal would have stood after Bowen's rather full force challenge ( I'm not sure )...& our penalty ( miss ), again, if given perhaps would have stood, was there enough of a push?.... who knows what VAR would have made of those 2 calls....That's regardless of their penalty.
Yeah it was poor last night but you’ve got to give QPR credit.Once they got the lead from the penalty, that should obviously never have been given , they played it perfectly. That’s not to say we should have had the guile to work it out. Still it’s a point from a poor performance . Onwards and upwards.
Problem is Slacker if we continue to only play well for periods of the match and not the majority of it, I don't know if it will be onwards and upwards, but perhaps the opposite,IMO.
Tbh mate I wouldn’t expect any other opinion from your good self.🤣

Exactly @Slacker I say it how I see it....No point pretending.🙄
Just someone's opinion, but I also think Mad's is an average keeper. I'm not saying he deserves dropping, but I just think he's a weak link, perhaps the championship is his level, but I personally don't rate him good enough if we do get promoted....
What about Bowen and his penailty,s Anyone think there should be a Chang there .I tend to think Bowen should take the next one ,And if that goes Badly then give it to Engles who seems to have a good record
To be honest don't think one is better then the other Can't see Nuno making a change at this point
Probably agree, think Mads has better distribution, but Areola a better shot stopper, but like you, I don’t think NES will make any change right now 👍🏻⚒️
jay, I am not too concerned about how well a goalkeeper can distribute the ball with it at their feet so I would rather just have the better shot stopper.
Neither are very convincing regard control of the box from crosses and that is a weak area with our centre backs. For me Areola is a more natural and flamboyant goalkeeper, and that brings it's risks, but Mads is a solid Championship keeper, less likely to have brilliant moments but perhaps less likely to make big errors. Take your pick really. Both a 6 (7 on a good day), I would like a solid 8, which in my view Fabianski was.
Just watched the game again and it is really ridiculous that we only really came alive in the last 20mins.
Did not register with me the importance of Kempers removal from the game - Bowen was far more influential once he had been substituted.
Pablo once again got himself involved in nearly everything but never looks like he knows what he is doing but he definitely had a positive impact.
Engels is frustrating- his distribution is pretty poor despite having numerous opportunities to put a decent ball in.
My initial thoughts still stand in that I think that Solomon can count himself really unlucky to be substituted- he was the only one who really showed up in the first half and I think he would have tipped the balance in our favor had he remained on the pitch for that final 20 mins
On the balance of play we have to be happy with a point but surely a more positive attitude earlier on in the game would have given us the three points - QPR made it difficult but this was a game we should have won
Possibly Solomon needed to come off, he had back spasms during the international break and was on the bench for the last game against Ireland, came on 72nd minute

That’s not good enough
