    I believe we're also playing them in a behind closed doors match so some of those missing, like Wilson, will probably get a run out in that. Emerson really is in the wilderness though, it would seem.

    An attempt to play it out from the back sees an under pressure AWB pass back to Areola and the ball goes straight out for a Lille throw well inside our half.

    A nice bit of pressing wins the ball high up in their half, but a losse pass from Paqueta gives away possession.

    Ref seems to be letting a bit of the physical stuff go so far.

    Good block by Todibo, then Paqueta gives the ball away not far outside our box, fortunately comes to nothing.

    A poor attempt at a clearance by Potts, and a failure to control it by Diouf leads to a chance, but it's just wide from a narrow angle.

    Then good work by Bowen creates a chance for JWP, but he shoots just wide from a central position. (Delayed post as internet went down).

    Areola tested from range, he keeps the low shot out but can't hold it, fortunately it falls to one of our defenders.

    Diouf found with a long pass (not sure by who) and puts the ball across, but Fullkrug was always struggling to get up to him.

    Not sure how Giroud got in to score, he took it really well, but either we were trying to play offside and AWB played him on, or it was really poor by Kilman who let him get in behind.

    Either way it was really poor defending.

    Nothings changed as we still don’t seem to know that a half doesn’t end until the ref blows the whistle.

    I would not judge any side until we play a competitive league game.

    Luke against Bournemouth we should have been at least 3 down before we knew it had started and we went behind against Everton. We constantly have times when we lack concentration.

    I agree it's not worth worrying about the result, and players are still finding fitness and don't have that competitive edge, but I think you can get a read on where we are in terms of how we're looking to set-up and play.

    And we are still so bad at keeping the ball. I'd say exactly the same as under Moyes. Probably not a huge surprise because the team isn't much different, but I really thought Potter would have us holding onto possession a bit better than we are.

    A chance for Bowen as Fullkrug slides him in, but he drags it just wide of the post.

    Lovely play by AWB as he skips down our right, can't find Bowen or Fullkrug but does win a corner.
