So glad that Lopetegui has gone. His record of 7 wins in 21 games is inexcusable. Lets welcome Graham Potter, who’s record at Chelsea of 7 wins in 22 games is aspirational!

West Ham United are expected to review the position of Tim Steidten, despite new head coach Graham Potter's insistence that he can work with the club's controversial technical director.
In his 20 months out of football, Graham Potter fielded interest from more than 10 clubs, in England and overseas, and four foreign national football associations.

Excellent point. If Lopetegui got a win and a draw in his next two games, we'd be looking to give him a ten-year contract [rolling eyes emoji]
I'm happy with the appointment. From the word go I thought J Lo ( sorry Slacker...) was an "ill" fit for the club. With Potter, I feel it's a better fit, time will tell. I don't or ever do expect miracles, but I do expect players to wanna play for the manager and team, under the " not to be mentioned " I'm sorry, but for MOST of the time I never got that feeling or saw it much.... Good Luck Harry...I mean Mr Potter ....
As I posted in the Villa match thread, I just want to start to want to watch WestHam play again, rather than it feeling like a chore as it had become under J-Lo.
Not sure what to expect. According to stats Brighton averaged 1 goal per game during his spell and Chelsea not much different. Doubt we will be blowing sides away.
I would like to have waited until summer as I think we would have finished between 13-17 had we kept Lopetgui and I think Potter will do well to change that position. I am not sure about Potter but he is to a degree an unknown quantity still so we can hope for the best. I would have rather Potter than Lopetgui in the summer, but neither would have excited me. I did get excited when the now Man Utd manager came over for talks but obviously that came to nothing. Now it's just time to get behind the new manager and the team and hope we see some better performances, I do feel this squad are better than they have been producing. We will never know if Lopetgui could have got better out of them but now it's Potters chance to try.
West Ham in advanced talks over new head of recruitment
Latest from Sky Sports News' Dharmesh Sheth: West Ham in advanced talks to appoint Kyle Macaulay as the club’s new head of recruitment. The development throws the future of Technical Director Tim Steidten into further doubt. One source claims if - and when - Macaulay is appointed, Steidten will leave his role. It’s understood Steidten has not been leading West Ham’s recruitment in this transfer window. Macaulay worked with Graham Potter when Potter was head coach at Chelsea.
Macauley confirmed as the new Head of Recruitment by Potter in his presser today. He said that it doesn't affect Steidten's role, but rumours are that Steidten is out the door.
True, but Steidten is technically the Technical Director I believe.
And I thought responsible for recruitment. He seemed to enjoy jetting around and bringing players back with him.
Steidten was definitely involved in recruitment, but Macauley has worked under Technical Directors at other clubs. However, it does feel as though Steidten's days are numbered.

He was not sure why, but thought it may have been because he was always grumpy.
