Potter signs West Ham contract
Latest from Sky Sports News' Rob Dorsett:
Graham Potter has now signed the contract which confirms him as the new West Ham United manager, Sky Sports News has been told.
It is thought to be a two-and-a-half-year deal
We have a decent squad and I am very hopeful that we can look forward to some positive football and results

Somehow i think a version of this chant will come back for Graham
Hope he was a first choice not just the first choice of who was unemployed and available
Good luck to him, has my full support hopefully he can hit the ground running to get some inevitable pressure off his back early
Lopetegui tried 3 at the back against Chelsea at home and Forest away but we lost both games 3-0
We don't know how long Tobido is going to be injured, Alvarez and Cresswell are makeshift options but that's hardly ideal, otherwise there's Kaelan Casey from the kids
Reckon Potter's January transfer priority could be a centre back or two
So maybe he could do that with the players we have, rather than buying new ones.
That would get my approval. ('Cos I know he's worried about my opinion!)

It will be interesting to see how both managers do if taking over at the same time as both clubs around the same position and same potential I guess. Mourinho has a great CV and was Pep before Pep came along, but has only done OK regard his jobs since his high points. In contrast Potter has little Premier league experience compared to Mourinho and failed in the shot he was given at Chelsea. Potter has it all to prove where as Mourinho has nothing to prove, I am hoping that is what works in our favour as it did with Moyes, it's Potters opportunity to show that Chelsea wasn't down to him and that he his best days are still ahead of him, where as Mourinho's are definitely behind him.
I know MrsG said that might suggest he's more motivated by money than managing a team, but I still see it as being very similar to, say, Ings (or any other highly paid player) refusing to accept a move away from a club where they are not getting football to a club where they would play, but get paid less money. Why would Potter want to accept a pay cut just to manage us? I see no problem with him waiting for a pay-off from Chelsea before taking another position, personally I don't think that reflects badly on him or suggests that he lacks motivation to manage us.
