  • Miles off.
  • Kudus, but again offside.
  • Cresswell, Todibo and Rodriguez coming on.

    Kudus, Emerson and Alvarez off.

Mavropanos has trodden on his foot, I’m really surprised that one wasn’t given tbh.

Apparently they confirmed there was contact but not enough... which I like as a concept

    Contact doesn't = a foul imo

Cresswell, Todibo and Rodriguez about to come on, assume for Emerson, Kudus and maybe Mavropanos?
Yeah I like that too, but it’s also not what they normally seem to do.
  • 8 minutes added time coming
  • Tbf Wan Bissaka is still so high up thebpitch it's still like a back 4 of Mavropanos, Todibo, Killman and Cresswell
  • We are doing our best to give them an equaliser.
  • Gary O'Neil looks broken.
  • Paqueta looks like his limping.
  • 2-1 FT.

A bit of aggro on the pitch after the whistle.
  • That was an ugly win but I’ll take it.
  • What is Paqueta doing shooting in the final seconds from miles away, just giving them the ball back

    Either way, huge 3 points

When Fab claimed the ball shortly after he very clearly had words for Paqueta.

    Yeah, really poor game management.

  • One point behind ManU and two behind Newcastle and Tottenham. If JLo’s job is on the line what about Eddie and Ange?
  • A huge result, we're 9 points clear of the relegation zone, it woulda been only 3 points with a defeat.
  • It does beg the question - given we are 9 clear of the bottom three - do we just give Lop the season & review in the summer?
  • only 2 points behind Spuds but 20 worse goal difference !
  • Didn’t feel either of their penalties were pens. I don’t think Emerson does enough & while Mavro was clumsy, it’s not enough to warrant awarding the spot kick. Players make contact with players during a game. Both our goals were fine, IMO.

Not a lot of quality, two teams lacking confidence, 3 points but if we don’t build on it over the Xmas period we’ll be back to square one again.
  • We got three points but it was a poor game. Our performance wasn't convincing and we looked very vulnerable in defence. Still not convinced that Lopetegui can deliver and would like to see him replaced but this win might buy him another reprieve.
  • I do agree that our position in the League is not that bad.
Our performances however are poor, and I just don't see improvement with the current manager. It just doesn't seem right.
  • I also think, with the situation over the last 48 hours with Mick, we shouldn’t be too harsh on the lads tonight.

I think we definitely had the rub of the green in this one. Our first goal should have been a goal kick, not a corner, and, on another day (or against another team perhaps) we could easily have conceded one if not two penalties. Also a possible foul by Mavropanos before Bowen's goal.
  • Our second could easily have not happened if the ref had blown for Mavrapanos climbing over the defender which I thought he would have done but was happy he didn’t.
  • 3 points for Antonio 👍🏻⚒️⚒️
Decisions went our way tonight, that’s the way it goes…
Happy for the win, especially for Antonio…
As for J Lo, no way does this make me change my mind, he’s wrong for WHUFC IMO,,,,
  • Better team won. Happy days.⚒️
  • The Leicester game flattered them, we deserved more than a 3-1 loss. Today we weren’t great, but got the 3 points.
  • In his post match interview, Soucek really seems like a lovely bloke
  • It was only the result that mattered tonight but ultimately we were very lucky, if that match was refereed competently the result is different.

I was very impressed with Gary O'Neil as he spoke well and should be given more time. His team fought for everything and were much better than Leicester last week, they just lacked a little quality which is understandable when you see what he had to sell and what he has been able to buy. On that measure and to see two teams so closely matched tonight then he is doing a much better job that Lopetgui who had the opposite help in being able to spend big and sell only who he wanted, yet scraped home tonight due to huge help from the officials.
