As I said elsewhere I don't think the board are expecting much from our games against Newcastle and Arsenal but they will not be happy if we don't get results against Leicester and Wolves

Agreed. Any points from the next 2 games are bonus points.
I think that may be true regard the results but I feel they will have their eye on the performances. They will be as perplexed as the most fans have been regard a tactical identity, no one seems to be able to identify what we are even trying to do or working towards. I think even the pro's find it hard as I recall the Brentford coach (I think) when interviewed after our match with them, something along the lines of ' They were hard to play against, no one plays like West Ham in this league'. I think he meant we couldn't work out what they were trying to do and so within the accepted counter tactics against different systems we didn't know what to do.
Were I Sullivan I would be asking Lopetgui to articulate what he is trying to do, asking which players he sees as implementing that aim and asking if he feels he has the players capable of this.
If asking that of Moyes I suspect it would have been along the following lines.
As soon as we lose possession the defence resets to agreed positions which ensures we are difficult to play through or around. It doesn't follow players as the midfield are expected to do that but the defence immediately resets to it's position. In gaining possession we look to break fast out to the wingers with Bowen and Kudus covering ground quickly, when holding possession we seek Paquetta to pick a pass to Bowen or Kudus coming in from wider or Antonio to get his head down and drive forward, and Sucek to be following up from deep.
I’m in Mauritius on my honeymoon. I was planning on streaming the game at midnight tonight, but I also need to go on a two hour drive tomorrow morning so I’ll probably have to pass. If a MOTM thread isn’t forthcoming, I’d appreciate it if someone else would set it up. If nobody sets it up, expect it at about 3am GMT.

Enjoy yourselves......Whatever happens tonight ( football wise !!! ) have a fab honeymoon..
He’s suspended, second red of season is a two game ban & the league cup plus league counts as one competition.
That's my feeling, but there seems to be some confusion. I believe he was listed on the Premier League's Fantasy Football site (so kinda official) as being available.

It does...? There is soooo much confusion.... Pretty pony IMO, but if there's any doubt, I guess then don't risk it, UNLESS they have in writing from the PL he can play....

I hope you both have a wonderful time.

Subs: Areola (GK), Coufal, Cresswell, Mavropanos, Scarles, Rodríguez, Irving, Luis Guilherme, Ings
Not a huge amount on the bench to change things up in an attacking sense.
"Edson Álvarez serves the second game of a two-match suspension after being sent-off at Nottingham Forest earlier this month"
What we need tonight is a performance with potential, whether we win/lose/draw.
Seriously tho with him not available would have put Rodri in
I want it to click & JL to prove a success.
Edit: fortunately just off.
