Yeah, it was shocking bad, and obviously went their way. Snicko seems a lot less reliable than Ultraedge imo.
By that I mean there was an English batsman given out in an earlier Test when the spike didn't line up and they said there's a 2 frame window, yet that seems to have been ignored now it's an Australian batsman. The spike is so sharp that it had to be ball on bat, they really should have realised that there was something not right. Extremely poor, how such a mistake could have been made, obviously could only happen in their favour.
59-3 at lunch, with the 3 wickets falling in quick succession from 37-0 to 42-3, Pope the most culpable of the 3 (himself and the 2 openers) with a very poor shot. Carey further endeared himself to the England supporters by claiming a catch that clearly didn't carry in an attempt to get Root dismissed.
After taking an early wicket (8-1) and then a reasonably early second wicket (53-2), really disappointing that Australia reached 271-4 at the close, a lead of 356 already. To make matters worse, Stokes hasn't bowled which brings his fitness into question.
England reach tea at 106-2 chasing an extremely unlikely 435, having bowled out Australia for 349 in the morning session, the last 6 wickets going for just an extra 78 runs to the overnight score.
309-7 at the delayed (thanks to a short break for rain) lunch break, with 126 runs still needed for an extremely unlikely win. Jacks, the last recognised batsman, is on 38 with Carse on 13.
We reached 337-7, but then lost the final 3 wickets for just 15 runs to be all out for 352, losing by 82 runs. Can't help feeling that things would have been a lot closer if Carey had been given out when he should have been in the first innings, but our batsmen have a lot to answer for again.
3-0 and The Ashes are officially lost; I guess all that's left is to try and salvage some pride and finally win a Test down under again.
