The only way he would have had more of an argument for that is if the ref had blown his whistle prior to the challenge. Even then it’s a stretch.

This was a simple process:

1) give the penalty
2) send off Pickford
3) check the offside
4) void the penalty
5) the red card remains
6) give Everton the free kick

Just made a massive issue out of that.

PGMOL saying Coote didn’t forget the rules, three officials are responsible for overseeing VAR. does that mean even more of the PGMOL are incompetent.
