Aitor Karanka, the Middlesbrough manager, has told club officials that he regrets his emotional outburst following the 3-1 home defeat by West Ham in which he criticised the club’s supporters....

Karanka claimed the atmosphere inside the stadium against West Ham had been terrible and declared any unhappy supporters had short memories, as he had saved the club from relegation to League One when he took over three years ago....
