  • So last weekend I scored enough points to beat 21, draw with 1 and lose to 3 teams in the H2H league. Of course I played against the weeks top scorer. :nonono:

This week I play against the league leader :weep:

I benched Anderson thinking Everton against Fulham, Siggi and Richarlison will get shed loads of points

    :weep:

At least he got swapped back in so I did get the 8 points :phew:
  • IronHerb - I think you may have caught me on the week I made my highest ever score of 101?
  • Great scoring Deanscale :ok:
  •
  • Meanwhile, I went for Troy Deeney's 4 games in 2 wks.

  • It's Okay, he's gonna storm the end of the season ✨⚽⚽⚽
  • You want chips with that?
  • Let the wailing commence.

    No Lloris. No Trippier. :weep:
  • The Lesser Spotted Janssen :nonono:

If you have him in your team then you should get a 10 point bonus.
  • Yeah, no llorente either to start with

Hope Poch blows everything this season, cheeky bloke hasn't got any spuds in his FF teams
  • Disheartened by the GW Tfs etc... Brought in Ryan and Duffy for Brighton to have a nightmare last week. So I get rid of Ryan for Foster (who had 2 good fixtures) and bench Duffy this week who wouldve basically scored as many points as the rest of my team put together. Thats after choosing not to bring in Deulofeu because I was worried he'd not play because of the ankle and then bringing in Janmaat who didnt even play :sub:

    It's a nightmare, basically.

I gambled on Deulofeu (mainly because I already was forced into 2 transfers for Deeney's red card and Ramsey's hamstring) so didn't want to spend yet more points on getting rid.

Janmaat is a good differential pick imo - but there's always the risk with differentials. He may play midweek. I benched Duffy too - sensible choice - but backfiring.

In my main team, my de Bruyne nightmare continues. :weep: Plus my Mendy differential pick has so far been pointless. Now, of course, I'm desparate for him NOT to play the midweek game, so that TAA and his 9 juicy points can be subbed in.

So we all now how that's going to work out, don't we?!

    #pephate
  • Yes, Mendy is 99.7% certain to play. Pep rotated after he'd been out for ages but he likes Mendy and I think he'll bring him straight back in.

I warned you weeks ago about Debruyne! To be fair though hes recently done really well after I'm assuming regaining match fitness with that touch coming back. So yesterdays breakdown looks like a season ender
  • re de Bruyne - I had him when he was rubbish (yes, you did warn me!) in the hope that he'd quickly come good and just be vfm for the rest of the season.

So - how did that go?

But then he regained fitness,I ignored him, he was on fire, I brought him back in (you owe me, Kev!!) and he got crocked almost immediately.

I'm thinking of seeing if I can monetise the game next season by asking PL club managers to pay me next season to NOT transfer in their players.. or to get the opposition strikers! :hmm:
  • No West Ham players in your team next year please....
  • tbh this season is the first time I've not had one or two.

I had Arnie early on when he was scoring goals, but none since then. (I brought in Dangana briefly after Yarmo got crocked, as my cheap MF benchwarmer - but Pelle dropped him once we got others back fit so it was  from me.)

I don't think there's vfm in WH players this season, plus Pelle rotates a bit (of necessity, usually :weep: )

  • Oh yeah

I had Fab all season until I wildcarded a few weeks ago. He was fab
  • Fabianski, Anderson, Arnie, Hernandez, Lanzini, Diangana & Snodgrass have all made fleeting appearances.

Fabianski was in for quite a while as my back-up keeper.
  • No Mendy :wahoo:

    11 points, in the bank!

    No Bobby F :nonono:

There'll be wailing, and gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair!

I've triple-captained Mane this week, so I'm one relieved bunny!

(Of course, I may be wailing, gnashing my teeth and tearing my hair in later on  )
  • Im getting wound up by a friend after my slip from the summits this season. To make matters worse she knows everything about ice hockey and next to nothing about 'soccer'!

She asked for the code to join our league. I said I couldnt divulge as it wouldnt be fair on the top ranked people (I know she just wanted to be above me!). Maybe I'm missing something in terms of knowledge, skill, judgement etc but she finds herself on 2159 points (after triple captaining Salah and having Trent and Mane as her other Liverpool players to score 80points for her three players!).

I dont know whether to just  or :weep: or both
  • Beginners luck.
  • What are the chances of drawing 82 all with your opponent in fantasy football, would you say, Mrs Grey? :hmm:

    :weep:
  • Did my TFs early. Brought in Lu ka ka ka ka u and made him captain. Just sorting out my draft team (which is the only one now doing well/have won it already) and noticed hes got a hamstring. Well I know everyone seems to have them but his isnt working :weep:

#just wants season to end and lick wounds :puzzled:
  • My cheap team has done loads better than my main team. Obviously I'm not to be trusted with a big budget - I'm more a Rafa than a Pep
  • Yes, there's been a few big value players that have taken the budget up and not turned up on a Saturday afternoon (especially when the games been on a Sunday or Monday  ). I wouldnt want to mention DeBruyne in your case as a prime example  There have been others like Sanchez who I assume will plummet in value next season.

You've done wonders on the 7.5M cap Mrs Grey

I've still got a chip left for my main team, so we'll see if I can get over 2000 points.

Last few games of the season are always unpredictable, and managers rotate a lot too, giving some players 'testimonial' type opportunities out of sentimentality, and chucking in a few kids :puzzled:

As an amusing aside, did you see the clip of Ben Foster talking about his FF team?
