'Nathan Ake said his goodbyes to Bournemouth fans on Instagram, after he was recalled early by Chelsea from his season-long loan on the south coast...
But the transfer caused a selection headache for fantasy football managers, who faced the prospect of a transfer embargo for having too many Chelsea players...'
I think this means you have to transfer out a chelsea player before you can make any other transfers ;hmm ;weep
I had defence sorted out for weeks to come until Chelsea selfishly decided to put Ake in their reserves instead of letting him gain experience at Bournemouth. There's nobody for the same price region thats anywhere near as good with reasonable fixtures coming up ;angry
Jumping off the Payet thread ( who has him in their FF team? Or in their team name - You can change your team name just in case you're unaware ) as I think I have approached Payet overload and just want him gone
So.... I had a decent team, a settled one and have been steadily progressing upwards in the last few weeks making minimal transfers ( ;nonono ). The wildcard enabled me to tinker and plan for the next few gameweeks too. So I'm a happy and calm FF'er...
Then Ake goes back to Chelsea, Bellerin suddenly is injured and Costa gets dropped.
I had already got rid of Benteke (a. hes rubbish, b. he was playing us and c. he had a shoulder injury which seems to have disappeared now) and Dann (he seems to have disappeared from the team without explanation the last 2 games) at the start of the game week plus I hadnt planned on anymore TFs (honest).
So now I've now made 5 TFs this gameweek a week after using my wildcard!! ;angry ;wahoo ;weep ;lol I can believe I'm 11th in the H2H. it must be like having a FF birthday when you get drawn against me ;lol
I hope you are now persuaded of the merit of my argument of waiting until the last minute to make transfers, rather than while the GW is in progress!! ;whome
One of the reasons I have more squad value is not waiting til the last moment to do business. However, its pretty much swings and roundabouts as to when/if you transfer players.
Yes, I had Alli on the bench last GW so I lost 15 points. I had brought him in for future GWs when using my wildcard knowing I'd probably bench him as he was up against chelsea and I didnt think he'd keep scoring in consecutive GWs + I had 5 MF'ers who were worthy of inclusion. Sods law says when you have to make a choice that the player will score well! ;doh The previous game week I had Phillips on the bench and that cost me 13 points! Baines 15 points made up for it a bit when I TF'd him in but Phillips was my best points scorer when I left him out. So two stings in two weeks (which weren't even included in my rant as I have been cursed injury and points on bench wise all season - Umm mustn't grumble ;lol )
As of this moment, none of my squad have had their heads turned and refused to play for the team. Nobody would need to in my squad. All they have to do is wait a couple of weeks and I'd get fed up with them anyway then get rid ;biggrin

I swapped our Defoe (10 pts) for Milner (0 pts)
;weep ;weep ;weep
That's god punishing you for Captain Kane.
Just saying.
#reapwhatyousow
Perhaps god went to the same school as that imbecile Mike Dean ;angry
Oh no, I've got you confused with somebody else. ;doh ;lol
So not punishment then .... just normal ineptitude? ;wink
You still have a chance Defoe will be subbed in, if 2 of your other players don't play ;thumbsup
also have a 4 point lead in the cup too ;pray
Charlie Daniels, on the bench.
I feel your pain. ;doh

Just came on here to say ;nonono Dele Alli on the bench. And saw you'd posted a rant. ;lol
Which is annoying as I was hoping for a bit of a MF re-jig this week ;doh
