West Ham's £3.7million signing arrived at the Boleyn this afternoon after completing a medical which rubber-stamped his move from Championship club Leeds United.
And he cited the chance of working with the club's manager as one of the key reasons for deciding to move to West Ham instead of Everton.
“I spoke to the manager and he is one of the main reasons which attracted me to West Ham," said Byram. "I think he's done unbelievably well with his team so far, so I'm really looking forward to working with him and his staff.
"I'm unbelievably proud and happy to join a Club as big as this. I'm just looking forward to what the future holds and hopefully I can achieve things with the team going forward.
“It's a childhood dream of mine to play in the Premier League, so to have the chance to get into a team like this and I just want to get my head down, work hard and hopefully get a chance."
Byram also revealed that he was excited at the chance to play in the Olympic Stadium, in which West Ham will begin their tenancy from the start of nest season (2016/17).
“I'm looking forward to seeing the new Stadium in person," he added. "That was another big part in me wanting to come here. It's a massive part of the future of the club and I can't wait to see and hopefully play in it."

3 at the back just doesn't work imo, not long term, feel there is too much pace on the wings in EPL sides to work efficiently
The wing backs are either too offensive and we get exposed or too defensive and we lose our pace and have 5 defenders on the pitch with a holding midfielder (or 2 in our case)
Let's stick with 4-2-3-1 it's got us to this position, just allows us to rotate and keep players fresh
Byram is just the Jenks replacement brought in 6 months early.
