I only slightly altered my team since last post ( it shocked me too )...
My 5.5 striker is swapped from Deeney to Wilson. Why? (I hear you all say) ;whistle
1) Watfords many changes in personnel and away vs Everton first game who I think are strong defensively especially at home. So I had planned to bench Deeney anyway. 2) Bournemouth are home to much changed Villa
After looking at both strikers first 10 fixtures I noticed that game week 2 and 3 are much better for Deeney and not that good for Wilson (then pretty even for both after that.).
So... I am going to TF Deeney in for GW 2 and 3 then see how both teams/strikers are doing before I decide whether to swap back to Wilson. ( unless I get injuries or the whole team goes up in smoke! )
One factor is that I have Ritchie in MF and I don't want to overload from Bournemouth. Ritchies goal/assist record last season was outstanding so I want to keep him unless Bournemouth struggle for goals. Plus I think Deeney is central to Watford + takes penalties and he's been consistent for more years.
I had intended to make it a short posting but I then realized, as Clint Eastwood once said... "A man must know his limitations" ;wink
P.s that Walcott/Giroud scenario is ;hmm I want to put in Walcott but its currently making me avoid both of them til I see the preferred option and whether, like in the shield, one gets subbed after an hour consistently.
I'm feeling confident with my team now but I'm open to any feedback... ?
I added your team up to 98.5M So a lot of the comments are with maybe using a bit of that or all of it in areas...
With 0.5M of the spare money you could put in a GK that will be first choice ( as you've picked Schwarzer, why not go for Schmiechel in same team @ 4.5M? Or Butland for same money who'll be first choice )
Dont blame anyone for picking Cech although I cant afford that much on a GK, I'd probably go for Courtois at same money purely because Chelsea seem better defensively than Arsenal
Waymana - I think Aarons or Ibe @ 5M will score/assist more
Alderweireld - Rose will score/assist more in same team ( and Trippier if he is 1st choice)
Tadic - Seems pretty inconsistent @ 7M and doesnt score enough ( e.g Milner who played far less scored more ). He seems like Cabaye where he's a good player/playmaker but will assist more than score ( Cabaye .5M less as is Bolasie )
With all your 1.5M spare i'd personally go for Depay purely because of his deadball prowess + I reckon he'll score/assist comfortably more. For the same price Ayew will be most likely a forward. Or in the same team at Tadic, Mane @8M scored 11 goals last year ( not a full season? ) and played in front three preseason. Payet @ 7.5M... Heart and head says he'll do better and play more than Tadic ;biggrin
My capacity to go through every player is there this AM so I am stopping ( hope I've not offended )
Never had a chance to reply this. This was fantastic advice!
Now I'm trying to remember which Ayew was the better one (they are both in the Premier League now)!?
Thanks for saying so ;biggrin ( I stopped analysing everyone in the team as I know its a fault in me and I truly didnt want to offend as all it is at the end of the day is just my opinion )
Andre Ayew at Swansea is classed as a MF - Hes a winger/attacker - I think from memory he scored about 10 for Marseilles last season
Jordan Ayew at Villa is classed as a striker. I had plenty of other striker options at better clubs so I havent looked into him too much. For the money, I trust others more
A reminder for anyone interested in the head to head league - if you want to take part you have to be in before the season starts, you can't join later ;ok

They've revamped it, I see.
Last season we had it linked direct from here (over on the right), but the link seems to have disappeared ;puzzled
GREY!! ;run
or is that just a cunning ruse by young lucas to get people to drop him.
Lucas then deploys the treble captain option for giroud as he puts in 5 on the opening day of the season....
;wink
Even a 30 second cameo, nailed on.
I've already brought in Ivanovic, Kaboul and Zaha this week.
;hmm

Going for one last big push today, then just leave picking my captain for tomorrow morning.
