    Bowen - Engels - Kanté - Solomon
    Mukasa

Austbø didn’t do enough, for me, to warrant a start.

Only one change for me from @Lukerz team, I think Mads has had long enough to prove he's our real # 1, and I'm still very unconvinced, but now, in Scott Parker we trust....

Mayers for me was a major improvement in the 2nd half and deserves a start and Solomon/Austobo, not much in it for me....both blow hot and cold.....

Anyhow, we now have a manager we can all get behind and hopefully he can drive them in the right direction...

Also, Kante, I've not been convinced at times, and he's still very raw, but again I though he made a difference in the 2nd half.....

Parker and Noble need to get our slow starts fixed, and I'm sure in time, they will.....COYI.
  • It's 31 years since Blackburn won the Premier League but I can still remember watching the last day coverage on a normal sized TV at my local (Three Blackbirds, closed and demolished)

It's 14 years since they were relegated to the Championship and apart from a season in League One they've either been too good to get relegated or not good enough to get promoted. They finished 20th last season

In those 14 seasons they've been through 11 managers and only Tony Mowbray stuck around for a while, managing from February 2017 to May 2022. In the last four seasons they've been through four managers without much success while Mowbray has managed three clubs without much success so its almost fated that he returned in the summer.

It’s been a mixed bag so far, beating Middlesbrough back in August but losing to Preston in September. In the last six they’ve beaten Cardiff, Bristol and Wrexham but lost to West Brom, Swansea (4-0) and Stoke

When it comes to stats they are worst for shots allowed (17), 2nd fewest shots themselves (11.4) and 3rd for bookings with 32 yellow cards shared by 16 players but otherwise they’re pretty much average at everything

There haven’t been many changes to the squad since last season, they signed 35yo Egyptian CM Sam Morsy on a free from Bristol City although his most notable contribution is being their most booked player with 5 of those 32 yellows

Key player is Icelandic CF Andri (son of Eidur) Gudjohnsen, 2nd highest scorer after Will Lankshear with 9 goals . He was born in London while his dad was with Chelsea, had a rather stellar football education with spells in the Barcelona, Espanyol and Real Madrid academies.

Captain AM Todd Cantwell is their creative outlet, he conveniently wears the no.10 shirt so should be easy to track, 6th for key passes per game (2.2, Bowen is top with 3), 45 Premier League appearances with Norwich 2019-21.

Goalkeeper Balazs Toth is Hungary’s no.1

They're still owned by Venky's, India's 2nd biggest chicken farmer

Our last trip to Ewood Park was in the FA Cup 5th round ten years ago, we stuffed them 5-1 with goals from Payet (2), Emmanuel Emenike (2, his only goals for us) and Victor Moses (1 of his 2 goals). Cheik Kouyate got sent off, both sides ended with 10 men
