    With they I meant the Spuds. They buy our players and it seems like it's thr same as when we buy strikers. Either they are ineffective or get injured.
    Any chance of buying Fernandes back when we go up and they go down? Say - 20m?

    VAR has not stuck to it's own intentions again already it seems. They wanted the threshold to be higher to intervene in an on field decision, yet here is the VAR official guessing. I think Glasner is right. You can 50-50 guess of hand or head, as both are in the position to make contact with the ball. If there is doubt he should leave the on field call as it was.

    Fernandes isn't ineffective, De Zerbi is an idiot. He didn't think Fernandes could deal with Forests style of football. He is probably one of the few Spurs players who can.

    So I watched the Spurs game with my Millwall supporting mate who is visiting us - at least we both agree on Spurs ๐Ÿ˜„

    Thought that the game against Forest was generally rubbish.

    We concluded that we need to introduce a new rule where an independent panel can decide to appoint zero points to both teams as we reckoned that neither Spurs nor Forest deserved to take anything from that game.

    The more I think about it - the more I like the idea

    My step father, great guy, awful taste in football, a Spurs fan isn't all happy at the moment...
    One thing I have to agree that quite a few have posted, it's so lovely watching a game without the thought of VAR getting involved.
    As much as I want us back in the PL asap, I will hate having VAR again, guess you can't have it all.....

    I predicted Lampard would be out before Christmas, but he will be lucky to make November at this rate. He has managed in the Premier league three times with Chelsea (twice) Everton and now Coventry, and if he couldn't make it work with those squads and resources he has zero chance with Coventry. I think Managers are like players and there are levels. As with Rooney you have without doubt a top level player but they are not cut out for top level management.

    Reflecting on levels I think our best bit of persuasion in the summer was widely thought to be getting Bowen to stay, yet I think Nuno staying was equally important as he is a Premier League level manager, as Bowen is a player.

    candbsky, I do wish people wouldnโ€™t lose sight of the fact NES oversaw our relegation. Maybe he has realised that attack is the best form of defence as he was too keen to try to defend leads last season & that contributed to our demise.

    Think @Fortuneseeker has a valid point, he was brought in to a job which he failed, even after having money spent in Jan last season to assist him, anyhow, we are now in the championship and he has to get us promoted at the 1st attempt, otherwise he'll IMO be considered a dud.....

    I don't think anyone doesn't recognise he was in charge but I think many accredit it to Lopetgui or Potter, Lopetgui for his signings and waste of money and Potter for being Potter. Nuno's record itself would have been very unlikely to have led to relegation, even taking into account that when he first arrived the squad was a mess and couldn't even defend a corner.

    Exactly , no good comparing today's state of how football is and the business side of things to the 1970's/80's.....IMO of course.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
