    I enjoy watching the premier teams as the games are generally entertaining- I do not know if it is because I am more invested with WHU but it is rare that I watch us and feel enthused with the tempo and skill set - I understand that supporters are likely to be more critical of their team which is probably driven by the desire for our team to succeed so much.

    In a nutshell when I do not feel that I have a dog in the fight I am able to enjoy the quality and effort on display without the stress.

    I know that I will never stop watching and supporting WHU because, well you know, but I am also looking forward to watching both the championship and premier league and seeing how it all pans out

    Tbh I watch very little PL football, and it was the same when we were in the PL last season. I might watch the occasional game, or part thereof, but on the whole my interest in football outside of West Ham has definitely diminished in recent years.

    Comfortable win for City who dominated, especially given the two misses by Foden..that being said, Palace did create a couple of chances which may have changed things

    Yes but that is why the law is as thorn said stupid. Would Maguire have had the opportunity to shoot if he hadn't controlled the ball with his hands? I doubt it & regardless of it then deflecting in it should have been given as a free kick. If a defender does that in the area it's a penalty. The rules are now too complicated it's like the incident in the Argentina v Egypt World Cup game which had a different ruling as one was in the penalty area and the other one wasn't.

    I went on to see what they thought of Fernandes. It seems they are appreciating his quality but he is doing little as is being played too far forward as a 10 rather than being allowed to direct things from deeper.

    The hand ball rule(s) will never suit everybody. Every so often, they change the guidance for refs, or change the interpretation, but all it does is give people something slightly different to be disgruntled about.

    They should just stick with one version, and everybody should just live with it.

    But we all complained bitterly a couple of years back when we had a goal chalked off at Sheff Utd when the ball hit Rice on the arm, just inside their half, before laying off to Snodgrass who scored.

    Can't have it both ways.

    Arsenal did the job and took the points away from home at Villa but they were far from convincing.

    Villa huffed and puffed but failed to create a meaningful chance despite Arsenals uncharacteristic sloppiness when tasked with clearing their lines.

    Less than 10 mins in and Liverpool 2-0 up against Ipswich.

    Pundits etc have been positive about Ipswich chances, and the club has really been active in the transfer. But ... Yikes.

    You can't think they'll hold out much longer.

    Although Liverpool defenders going in hard, 2 on yellows but don't seem to give two hoots.

    Sadly Spurs got lucky with a disallowed Forest winner. Fernandes already struggling to keep his place and only an 83rd minute sub, got a yellow in the 84th minute and that was his match.

    Kudus also came on as a sub, by my watch Kudus should be entering his sulking stage and thinking he is better than this about anytime now.
