  • Seems to be some speculation - & it is just that - that Diouf & Magassa want to leave, in part, because of the signing of Solomon

If and I repeat IF, that is true and it's because of Solomon's nationality, then IMO good riddance to them....But it's all if, and is related to that.....
  • Disasi looks set to join a PL club, it seems

Time to look for other CB targets

This signing was always going to be divisive and I just don’t see an argument that that’s what we needed this season.
  • I think that is a fair point (even though I rate him as a Champ level player)

I imagine he has clarified his comments with the squad internally

If he did, or felt obliged to, then kudos to him, however from my memory, we don't have any Palestinian players do we......
  • This is a forum for West Ham discussion, and speculation. I really think geopolitics needs to stay out of this forum, as this is a wildly divisive topic - as we are already seeing.

Jay - No, but that doesn’t mean that individuals won’t be uncomfortable by his stance

It’s like saying ‘because I’m not black, I shouldn’t worry if black people get abused’

If he wanted to clarify/apologise, then that’s ok for him to do, if he chose not to, it’s ok for others to not be overly comfortable with it (IMO)
  • As @alderz said, I agree, Politics and Football should not be confused/mixed....

But for me, and this will be my final words related to it, he had nothing to apologize for.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs....But no more comments from me about it, promise! & BTW he looked like a great buy on Sunday.....

If he wants out, then he must go....
However I just hope we have players coming in, I know Engels is already signed, but with Soucek out for a bit, Magassa unwanted ( it seems ) and a rumour that Kante can also go ( not sure if true ), it's leaving our middle somewhat threadbare...

Also, I really hope a CB is coming in, from reports this isn't an area where they are looking to improve, which hopefully is inaccurate, as for me it should.....

    Fullkrug out on loan..https://www.whufc.com/en/news/niclas-fuellkrug-departs-on-loan

Re our CB position, perhaps they feel Veltman can be the other option.....Guess so...
  • Fullkrug 🍺 out and Joel Piroe Piroe in ⏳

  • What is this, transfer deadline day 🤷‍♂️👔

IF all the rumoured players to leave actually go can we please ask the last one to depart to turn the lights off. 🤷‍♂️

I mean we can’t really do much can we, reject the loan, they say ‘fair enough’, we then keep AWB who doesn’t want to be here

He will end up going & the club will have to take the best deal
  • I think there is going to be a ridiculous amount of business done by us over the next two weeks, several players in & out
  • Can that just be several players in please Lukerz because we need them?
  • Think there are a further 9 players who ‘may’ leave before the deadline: Areola, Todibo, AWB, Diouf, Alvarez, Magassa, JWP, Cornet, Taty
  • Can that just be several players in please Lukerz because we need them?

Dont really understand why people are concerned about all these players going when almsot all of them have been failures and disappointed for years

Fullkrug has been a disaster, maybe £-for-£ our worst ever signing (Savio?)

Alvarez has has his moment but if we wrre in the Prem wouldn't be a single poster wanting him to stay. Think Todibo has been a disgrace and I'm happy to see the back of him

AWB, Diouf are key player but if they want going then get them gone. And honestly neither were very good last year, shocked if we get over £30mil for Diouf and AWB rehression last year needs to be studied, he never looked bothered

We need players yes, but im not exaclty going to cry about losing players like Fullkrug, Todibo, Alvarez etc.

Taty or Mavropanos maybe, but not those guys
  • Frightening that we spent around £100m on Alvarez, Todibo, Füllkrug

    JWP - £30m
    Kilman - £40m
    Guilherme - £25m
  • Thank goodness we made good money on Fernandez and Summerville
  • WHU, The whole squad failed last season as we got relegated, we may as well sell Bowen now and get a decent price for him IF we aren't genuinely going to make an attempt to build a team good enough to get us back up at the first attempt. Yes it's simple to dismiss those players but a few of them wouldn't be current internationals if they were rubbish would they?

We need at least one new LB so Scarles can be a back up, new CB so Kilman, if he has to be, can serve the same role. CDM, another winger for the squad plus a striker that is in addition to Piroe. How are the better players going to feel about all these players leaving & no it shouldn't be a given because we got relegated. Would hate to see what would have happened if DK hadn't made a stand about keeping our best players?
  • A big concern for me is if Areola goes. We would then be panic buying a keeper
  • I would sooner see Areola in goal than Mads, but I know I'm in a minority here...
Mads just doesn't show any confidence IMO.
  • I think they are both weak keepers, Jay, I’d rather go with Mads for now as the lesser of two evils
  • We should have kept Guilherme, he had bags of potential and pace.
