Feels a bit weird having a thread for Championship games..I'm watching the Wolves game.

    Scenes with a late penalty allows Jiminez to rescue a point.

    No VAR, so it's possibly not a penalty. But ref gave it.

    Not a great start for Wolves given that Blackburn are not fancied….

    Hard to get into these games today ,Guess after about 5 or 6 games we might have an idea how the championship might play out

    Blackburn finished 20th last season so a draw at the Molineux is an excellent start

    West Brom (21st) winning away at Norwich (9th) and Charlton (19th) beating Derby (8th) are two other noticeable results

    Watching Watford vs Southampton - given that despite starting 4pts adrift the Saints remain fancied as promotion contenders, to my untrained eye they look pretty poor.

    It will be interesting to see how they respond amongst all the noise surrounding their totally self inflicted disastrous end to last season.

    On this showing thus far, it looks to me that they are going to struggle.

    Posters curse….Southampton woke up in the second half and were simply a different team, Watford did well to hang on at the end.
