Any footballer worth his salt is going to want to feel wanted 👍. Most managers have their favourites even if it is to the detriment of the team. Some of Nuno’s selection IMHO back this belief up.
I think AWB is the one I’d really like to stay but it does seem he doesn’t want to be here, so what can you do. He’s one lots of teams could be after too. Diouf I don’t mind either way. Big money for him would be a good deal after an inconsistent season but I would also like to see how he’d with a season in the championship to settle.
There is absolutely no point rebuilding while we're in the Championship, we tried that in 2011-12 and most of the players we signed weren't good enough for the Premier League
Plus Fullkrug, AWB and Todibo take up a fair chunk of our already huge wage bill
Lets just hope and pray that our current squad is good enough to get us promoted at the first attempt then. It will make for a more stressful season I expect.
Not sure that is true. I think a player can play Sunday if registered Saturday by noon & there are provisions in place by the EFL to do that, regardless of it being a weekend.
Has Wan -Bissaka actually said he wants out, or is it the speculation that this or that club would like to buy him?🤷🏻♂️
Tbf with KWP around, who may not be as good as AWB but he's good enough for this league, here its an obvious sale imo, probably the most obvious one
We didn't (dont?) have ready made replacements in the squad for any of Fernandes, Summerville and arguably Taty. AWB (and to a lesseer extent Diouf with Scarles here) have strong backups

So he’s not said he wants out then. Is that right?

So the evidence for Wan Bissaka wanting to leave is: 1- He didn’t turn up for a media day( no idea why) 2- Other clubs would like to sign him. 3- Champo League bloke hasn’t spoken to him.
NES appears to be good at alienating some of the players with a "it's my way or no way" mindset. He isn't a Harry type of manager who would put his arm around a player's shoulder and get him onside.
The media shoot the other week - where players do their squad photos for the Championship season. AWB, Todibo & Fülllkrug did not show up, reporting by several media sources & why they don’t have profile pics on the club website (squad page).

I meant the disciplinary stuff. Can’t say I’ve seen anything about it.🤷🏻♂️
What do you suggest then Fortune that if a player or players don’t agree with the way a manager wants to play or suggests then they should be free to do whatever they want. I’m sure Pep, Arteta, Mourinho et al set their teams up to play how they want to play and they get on and do it. AWB, Todibo and Fullkrug may all have requested transfers and that is the reason they weren’t in the media pics.

You know that he didn't try this approach, then?
You are just making stuff up lol.
Surely there's enough actual things you can find to criticise about him, without resorting to imagination?

Although the freezing out of JWP for me did seem a tad strange, of course I don't know JWP, but he doesn't come across as a trouble maker, but it seems like they have solved their differences, or just that he feels JWP is more championship level rather than PL level??

thorn, If you think that is what I am suggesting then fine. It's quite easy to become disillusioned when you aren't been supported!
MrsG, In the same breadth you don't know he did do you?
Another example of someone being dug out for no reason just because they have a different opinion on something doesn't mean it's in their imagination. Where is the evidence of the "Care in the Hammers Community". I know other people have the same views as me but aren't as vocal as me.
Fortune I don’t think anyone is “digging you out”. You believe that Nuno alienates players by having a “my way or no way” attitude. My point is that it’s the manager’s job to determine how he wants the team to play and for the players to play it. If they can’t or won’t then they will be replaced. It’s the way any profession works in that the manager or boss determines what and how things are done and if the workers’ opinions differ then they’re free to say so but ultimately the boss has the last say.
thorn, This isn't just an isolated incident, it has gone on for ages that is why I made reference to the title at the top of the page. I appreciate everyone is entitled to their own opinions on things, it makes the world go around, but you post something and are immediately asked for links, where is the trust? I have heard that is how NES works from a few places but can't support that with any links so it's in my imagination & I am making stuff up! Come on is that respectful?
