  • I wonder if Nuno will bring Alvarez back from loan?
  • BND I believe he is due to return to the club after his loan in Turkey and rumours are he would be willing to stay and play this season.
  • Reports out there that Gustavo Sa is about to be signed even saying a medical is booked .Anyone know anything Please don't let him be another Pablo
  • He has played for Portugal at all levels except first team.

    Must be at least ok
  • Think we're going to see a fair few Portuguese players arrive this summer

  • @Jorderz, If they are as good as the few Mendes brought to Wolves when NES was there we will be happy. I wonder if Nils Koppen has to be in agreement on them though?
  • From Ex earlier today

Gustavo Sa "no way near as close as was being reported"

James McAtee "talks that he is close to a deal are also inaccurate”

Axel Disasi "club are keen...although there seems to be a lot of competition"

FC Koln Icelandic CM Isak Jóhannesson "perhaps a deal involving Alvarez could be struck"

    Other names mentioned

    Troyes AM Martin Adeline

    Girona LW Kim Min-su

FC Midtjylland Ecuadorean DM Denil Castillo and Chilean RW Darío Osorio

FC Nordsaelland Ghanaian DM/CM Caleb Yirenk ()

  • Meanwhile in the WSL

Some of us can only dream of our Womens team making a signing like this.
  • Callum Wilson got a "here we go" from Romano to move to Brentford

Not entirely surprising, good option off the ebnch when Thiago isn't scoring
  • Bemoans the lack of game time last year, so goes to the club with the highest scoring striker.

Just shows you the rubbish a lot of players speak. Scored some big goals for us, but I always found his performances underwhelming.
  • He wants 100 Prem goals which he won't get with us.
  • Highly unlikely with Brentford either
  • At Brentford Wilson will be 2nd choice striker out of two, they've only got Thiago and a Belgian kid they want to send out on loan

Last season Thiago started 37 Premier League matches and played the full 90 minutes 33 times

The one game he didn't start they played Schade as a makeshift striker, three times they replaced him with Dango Ouattara who's more of a winger than a striker and the other time they replaced him with Reiss Nelson cos Ouattara was at AFCON

Thiago started against Morocco for Brazil but was on the bench for the other games. He will probably miss a lot of the pre-season so Wilson could start against Spurs

Brentford definitely looks like a good move for him
  • Okay, let's not get overexcited but...

Simon Phillips of Si Phillips Talks Chelsea podcast reckons we have remained in contact with Disasi over a permanent move, a £25m deal is all but agreed with Chelsea "and it’s worth noting he is yet to turn them away,”

TeamTalk reporting that we have opened talks with Forest for McAtee, that it might take £30m but he's interested in joining

This is all very un-West Ham

The McAtee deal brings into question whether Forest can really expect to get their money back on a player who they didn't really pick, a reduced fee then it would make more sense, a bit like the valuation given for Disasi.
  • See the Womens team have signed two England Under 19 internationals in the last 2 days.
  • WHUWFC have announced their seventh signing of this transfer window, maybe, just maybe they might be trying to be more competitive this season.
  • Our ladies team usually have to make loads of signings each summer as so many leave each season.
  • buffy, Won't the Mens team have to make a load of signings if the rumours of up to Ten players leaving is correct?
  • Oh I'm sure, but I was just pointing out that the women's team always has a high turnover of players, so us signing a lot doesn't necessarily signal a change.
  • I agree buffy it's a regular necessity for the Womens team although this summer they appear to have signed a few players who are of a more than decent standard instead of a player from a lesser nation which normally doesn't help the team progress. .
  • So as it stands, 11 for Burnley

    Hermansen
    Wan-Bissaka - Mavropanos - Todibo - Diouf
    Potts - Magassa
    Bowen - Pablo - Summerville
    Taty

    Nice!
  • Not sure Todibo Will even bother to turn up ,But apart from him not bad ,Start the season now =)
  • I do hope that Pablo comes good this year and bangs in a good few goals.

Must have been a bit hard on him coming in as a striker and being played in midfield, but all credit to him for giving it a go.

New country, new league, new club and his work rate was excellent.

Hopefully he might get his place up top with Taty and get himself some goals.

There is definitely a decent player in him ..................... please
