Interview with Paco Jemez on radio station COPE "El Partidazo", "Spain's most influential sports radio program" (El Partidazo translates as The Great Game)
"Paco Jémez has revealed in 'El Partidazo de COPE' that his future at West Ham remains open. Although his journey in England seemed over, the head coach has contacted him to propose continuing. "He wanted me to continue there with him," explained Jémez, who conveyed his "needs and concerns" and assured him that he senses that they will have to continue talking.
There's more where he talks about the differences between Premier League and La Liga (in Spanish obs)
I think we need to be realistic about who stays - the likes of Bowen, Taty etc are not going to be here come September, as much as we’d love them to be. Bowen is a high level PL player & will get signed by a club in Europe. The only player who I think may stay of our first 11 players is Souček, but I can see him getting signed by someone like Everton.
Tbh I don’t think we can say that right now. I’d expect Hermansen to remain our main keeper & think KWP may be our RB, Scarles can probably be trusted to start at LB. We’ll have two new CBs. Then you may see the likes of Potts, Magassa, Kante in midfield but I’d only expect one of those at most. Very hard to predict the side at this stage.
I think there is are many factors and Nuno staying may help retain one or two people on the borderline of stay or go to stay. In summery I think its a a huge gamble just to let everyone go if they want to go. to start a new first eleven from scratch is going to make things very difficult.
I would ask some to stay, if I needed do deals regard a promise of a move should we not make it back at first attempt, decent promotion bonuses etc then maybe get flexible. Personally I think we will keep one of the big three in Bowen, Summerville or Fernandes as if not who are we building the team around? we will need a big leader to come in as Big Sam recognised when bringing in Nolan. We need strong characters as well as talent.
My take from Bowen's after match interview is that he seems to be a thoroughly decent man who feels that as captain he has a duty to stay and help to try to win promotion. As much as I admire his attitude, I feel he should seek greener fields. He has done the club proud over the years and deserves to finish his career at a higher level than the Championship.
Just as promoted teams find it hard to survive in the Premier league because they essentially arrive with a Championship side, a relegated side arrives in the Championship with at least some Premier League quality, that's what gives them a decent chance of getting promoted. It would be suicide to squander this advantage by allowing wholesale departures based simply on whether the player wants to leave.
We will know we must sell some players but we will definitely look to keep some as if you try and get promoted with your second Premier League eleven it's going to fail. Tatty will be great in the Championship, if we could hold onto Bowen or Summerville they will have a field day against many of those defences.
The Athletic say Villa are interested in Summerville although Harry Wilson, Harvey Barnes, Bologna's Jonathan Rowe and Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi are also mentioned
I have heard that Arsenal are interested in Morgan Rogers so they could definitely be in the market for a replacement winger
Dutch newspaper AD (Algemeen Dagblad) published an interview with Summerville yesterday
"That relegation was tough, for the club and for the players. Such a beautiful and big club as West Ham United does not belong in the Championship. I just hope we can return to the Premier League as soon as possible."
West Ham will release Adama Traore just six months after signing the Portuguese winger from Fulham in January, the Hammers have announced.
The length of the 30-year-old's contract was not made public at the time of his arrival, but he will depart the London Stadium after making 12 appearances in half a season, without scoring.
Lukasz Fabianski also departs east London after eight years at the club, at the age of 41.

Wan-Bissaka - Mavropanos - Todibo - Diouf
Fernandes - Soucek
Bowen - Taty - Summerville
Wilson
I’d expect every player above to leave (potentially excluding Soucek).

Can't find any mention of a release clause in his current contract
German newspaper Bild has linked Magassa with a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, head coach Addi Hutter managed him at Monaco
