Other Games from 1st May

Leeds beating Burnley as half-time approaches, surely they'll be safe if things stay as they are. Not ideal if they then slacken off against Spurs next week.

If they do might they be even slacker on the last day of the season? 🤞

Ideally they don't slacken until they have played Spurs.
  • Henderson, (Palace 'keeper) stumbles and makes minimal contact with Canvot who dives - penalty.
Pablo brought down by Brentford defender's slip - nothing.
    Sick of these inconsistencies. >:)
  • Difference is Pawson/Harrington v Jones/Bankes.

That should have been Senesi not Canvot.
  • Thought our defending can be bad at times but Utd and Liverpool are raising that bar.

After seeing the Bournemouth penalty and recent decisions I feel the league should be charging themselves with bringing the game into disrepute.

They are causing a breakdown in trust of the game by being completely unable to establish consistency across a body of match officials.
  • Well that’s annoying, not only have spurs scored but they seem up for this one
  • Villa are awful.

  • Actually, disgraceful.

7 changes. They may have well put 7 spectators om.
  • Don’t blame Villa, we lost to them 2-0 & got stuffed 3-0 yesterday, deserve all we get
  • Spurs 2 up and playing so well 🤬
  • Oh boy…unless there is a fundamental change then we are back in the bottom three, it was never Villas job to do us any favors and they haven’t.

We are going to have to pull out all the stops now until the end of the season and see where the chips land
  • Of course Spurs are up for it. They are playing against a team that are playing walking football.
  • As much as I can't stand Spurs you can't deny them staying up here. We have looked like we didn't want to concede and hoping to get a break, Spurs have absolutely flown at Villa and not giving them chance to breath. They will have to keep it up which may be a big ask but they may well be away and gone by the time they begin to get tired.
  • I said yesterday that playing before Spurs is only of benefit if we won. We didn’t and Spurs knew a win and they’re out of the bottom 3, all the extra incentive they needed.
  • Let's hope Spurs go all Spursy and lose 4-2
  • Villa rested first team players.
  • I think, given that they have possible secured European football for next season, they are on the beach already

Forest winning at Chelsea after 90 secs. Could end up the worst weekend possible for us
  • Forest 2 up now.
  • So were we but managed to throw it away.

3-0 now so that’s that. Forest showing how to manage a game, something we can never do which is going to cost us dear.
  • Do not think that is going to happen today - especially seeing how Forest are now three up…ho hum.

Could not have been a worse weekend for us…the ironic thing is that we did not play that badly
  • To think we will be relying on Chelsea to beat Spurs.
  • We need a miracle now, and, given how we've played in the last couple, I just don't see it happening. Only upside is it will cost Sullivan hundreds of millions of pounds.
  • If it costs him hundreds of millions it costs the club hundreds of millions. We are going to struggle in the championship as unlike the last time we will lose most of our squad and will have to start from scratch.
What saddens me most is that I’ll never see us in the PL again.
  • It’s always the fans who suffer. Players show emotion when it happens but then jump ship and with most having a ‘nothing to do with me guv’ attitude when in reality it was all their fault collectively.
