Faffing about passing the ball out from the keeper has cost Brighton both goals, why do they keep doing it?!!
Pep started it at City but he had the players who could handle it. Since then all teams have copied it.I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen the opposition nick the ball and score. I’m not saying that we should go back to the fifty fifty boot upfield from the keeper but there are times when it just makes sense.
To be fair - Spurs showed up today and gave Brighton a proper game which was more than I expected but I am really pleased with the result - the ball is now very much in our own hands tomorrow.
I would have been so annoyed had they won with that centre back acting like he is playing a training ground five a side. I have not often seen a team so light weight as Brighton, every shoulder to shoulder they went flying.
Although De Zerbi has got a bit of fight into them they still create so little.
Draw and result aside, Spurs did not look a bad outfit. I think they will certainly get a couple wins before the season is over. The ball is very much in our court though. Its up to us to create the gap needed to stay ahead and in front.

I thought we were dead, buried and preparing for life in the championship months ago weren’t we?🤷🏻♂️
It’s probable they’re already down now unless we lose our last 6 and they win their last 5 with a 20 goal difference swing. Hopefully they’ll play with a lot of freedom and be at least a match for Spurs.
I think the key for me now is we have two opportunities to stay above Spurs - Monday but also next Saturday when we play Everton & they play Wolves.
If we don’t take points in our next two, I expect them to be above us come next weekend & we can’t really argue with that as we have to keep picking up points too & will have had two chances to do so.
If Burnley get a result today (unlikely) I think that actually makes Forest the most likely to go down.
I think it’s very unlikely we beat both Palace and Everton. We’ve not strung three league wins together on the trot in a long time (I have not checked to see when, but I’d guess Moyes was in charge). If we manage 4 points from the two that would be an excellent return.
Watching Burnley vs Forest and Burnley are one of those that always seem to want to play it out from the back and more often than not end up in trouble.
In my mind, if you set up to play it short and succeed in tempting two or three opposing players to stay up in the hope of closing you down and you then choose to go long….hopefully your keeper can target one of your own and you are putting the ball into a midfield with far more space
But what do I know
I get it but I think it would make sense to see teams mix it up a bit rather than keep playing it short as a default
Forest look very “leggy” not a game with much to talk about at either end until Burnley get one just before the whistle - did not see that coming and you have to expect that it will wake Forest up in the second half

Xavi Simons should have been taken off even if you are left with 10 men. He gave the ball away for Brighton's equaliser.
But heh, not our problem!
More then an ok result
COYI on Monday 🙏⚒️

They will probably beat Wolves but that leaves -
Aston Villa A
Leeds H
Chelsea A
Everton H

Last 3 wins of league games in a row
