I feel like Nuno’s goal is just to create chaos in the final third that keeps the ball away from our goal and for Bowen to pick up and Wilson later on.
Taty chasing down everything, Pablo stumbling into everyone, Traore bombing down the wing to the corner flag.
With him on the right and Summerville on the left we will be able to terrorize both full backs whilst leaving neither center half with anything to worry about.
Not a lot to argue about with that as I would value him at 50m if he was on a long contract so 36m sounds more than reasonable.
We paid £50mil for him when he was 24 and coming off seasons where he got 16 and 15 goal contributions in the preceeding 2 seasons for Lyon in the League
Imo, hes never reached those heights he did at Lyon and has regressed as he is now 28 with 18 months left on his deal
Think £36mil is an unbelievable deal, thought we would've got somewhere closer to £20m
When you consider it's a £15m loss on just transfer fees, I think you'd say that 139 appearances, and the winning assist in a cup final is probably worth £15m. I agree, blinding deal.

And "technically" this is £20mil profit based on PSR/FFP as he was 3.5 years through his 5 year contract so his "amortised booked value" at present is £15mil

To paraphrase a line from The Big Lebowski, at least it’s a tactic!
He has always been a no end product player and I am not sure where he fits in to our squad, but Nuno is the boss and he clearly wanted him so he must feel he can bring something.
I think Sterling has lost whatever he had a few years ago. The advantage of Traore is he never really had much other than pace and seemingly he’s not lost that yet.
He obviously had a good season last year, but he's got 1 league goal this season (I think). If that means Mateta leaves I can see Palace continuing to struggle

Moving quickly to the positive vibes thread……..
Now I can understand a little why the club haven't signed a new Centre Half for NES as they have been too busy sorting one out for the WHWFC!

Unfortunately he has had only a few of those days.
He also is rarely unplayable for goalkeepers.
Let's hope that changes
A quarter is still a lot
Villa sign old boys Douglas Luiz (loan) and Tammy Abraham (£18.5m)
Palace and Wolves have agreed £45m plus £5m add ons "in principal" for Strand-Larsen. Wolves paid £23m for him in the summer
Ker-ching!!!
Next time I complain about our owners remind me about Palace...
