    I’ve revised my opinion slightly. I think it lacks ambition, but I’ve seen and heard plenty of non-West Ham fans saying what a good deal it is and particularly commenting on how light we are. I think I’d rather have him than not, but i hope we see other attacking signings too.

    IMO gotta give him a fair go, it’s only a year contract, I’m by no means over the moon, but let’s hope he can make a positive impact and perhaps also help the younger players 👍🏻⚒️⚒️⚒️

    I also hope he does well of course. I just hope he makes contributions when on the pitch, and doesn't end up being played for a token 10 minutes or so like Ings was. That would be a wasted squad spot.

    It is just a signing I did not expect as so much has been made of wanting to lower the age of the squad.

    Apparently Hermansen has agreed personal terms but still negotiating a fee with Leicester.
    Never understood how things could work in that order.

    You ask permission to talk to the player. If permission given then the club is prepared to sell. You talk to the player to see if they are interested and if yes you agree terms while discussing the fee with the club I would imagine.

    He's exactly the profile of player we need, but he's also a very classic West Ham version of the signing. As in, a pretty experienced PL player, rather than an unknown guy.
