He seems comfortable with having a go at goal, willing to fight for a ball and appears athletic but even in this collection of favorable clips, rarely did we see examples of thoughtful distribution.
A bit like Kudus then. Will he regard us as simply a stepping stone, I wonder.

I suspect so, if he does well I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's looking for a move Summer 27.
The Grielish loan story is getting shared around Twitter as apparently he is keen on the idea! Twitter is not really reliable but if it came off it could be a Lingard like success story.
Harvey Elliot rumour is also gaining strength but also Villa interested along with Newcastle, so I am thinking we would be at the back of that line.

I see a Kalvin Phillips story as much more likely tbh.
According to a press release yesterday from Besiktas they'd agreed terms and he was due to fly to Istanbul for a medical but decided to withdraw the offer after he asked for a delay
Fabrizio Romano (Twitter) reckons its a 3-year deal
Apparently his move to Besiktas has fallen through and we're being heavily linked again. Given that AWB was one of the few success stories of last season, and we've just spent £19m or so on a new LWB, KWP would definitely be coming in as a back up. Given he's on a free, this would seem like good business, but I'm sure when he was originally linked he was after hefty wages; if he's moderated his wage demands (I'm guessing he was struggling to get what he wanted if he was moving to Turkey) then not the worst signing especially as we've got in Potter's seemingly first choice at LWB in Diouf.

Smart moves, what id like to call a no trainer of our sell to buy rumours are true
Free transfer, 28 so has years to give, prem experienced, great back-up for AWB and has also played on the left for Emerson if the young lads Diouf/Scarles need some support (or AWB goes left and KWP goes right)
Replaces Coufal while being 5 years younger and home-grown

I think Walker-Peters will be a really handy signing - particularly as both Wan-Bissaka and Diouf are likely to be at AFCON. I'm not sure if people are aware, but AFCON is starting early this year (21st December), so they'll both miss the Christmas period.
If my assumptions are correct, they'll be gone from the Manchester City game (20th December), and could miss up to 6 other league games and the FA Cup third round.
Yeah, it's a real nightmare, I'm sure an agreement was reached a few years ago that the AFCON was going to be played in our summer break, but now they've reverted to during the European season. Even worse this year that it's starting so early.
RB/RWB is nailed down by Aaron Wan-Bissaka. That leaves three fighting for LB/RWB position, assuming that Emerson will leave. El Hadji Malick Diouf hasn't been bought to warm the bench. So I am assuming that he would be the first choice. What future now for Ollie Scarles? will he be loaned out to a championship team? Will Potter make positional changes to accommodate Kyle Peters and/or Scarles?

Worth remembering that we'll lose both first choice wing backs for the AFCON, so I doubt Scarles gets loaned out atm, maybe in late January is a possibility for the second half of the season but no harm in having 4 wing backs in a squad.
I wouldn't say it's out the question that Walker -Peters ends up on the wing at times. After we played them last season I posted how I thought he was versatile enough and has the attributes to be an effective back up winger and that is why he would be a valuable addition to our squad. I suspect Potter may be considering the same thing but time will tell.
They have to to stand any chance but it's getting harder all the time for promoted teams to see out that first season. I wouldn't be surprised if all three go straight back down again. Sadly for us I think we will be one of only a handful of teams they may feel they have a chance of staying up through.
I would say there are four teams that may have trouble next season, Wolves, Us, Brentford and possibly Forest. Wolves and ourselves due to last seasons form but now without Cunha and us missing Kudus. Brentford could struggle now the Manager has left for Spurs and I just think Forest may have been a one season wonder and may struggle with the added fixtures.
I think Palace and Everton, two teams you would expect to be down there may be ok as I love the Palace coach and Moyes will keep Everton mid table in my view.

He will work alongside Linus Kandolin who joined on 4 July and started his coaching career under Potter at Ostersunds.
Our old GK coach Xavi Valero joined Liverpool 2 July.
