    Obviously we’ve bought a multitude of decent players over the years. Unfortunately a vast number of them we either failed to use properly, failed to use at all or ruined them.

    I said the other day that I'd check, and I only just got around to it, but the £17m profit we made on the Kudus is the fourth most profitable sale in our history. Only Rice, Diangana and Rio Ferdinand were more profitable, and they were all academy graduates who were 100% profit. So, basically, Kudus is our most profitable deal ever.

    Cant say I've ever seen him play but quick look up seems like hes got a cracking left peg, some phenomenal crosses and some amazing goals... got lots of pace and comfortable under pressure, seems a good choice for LWB position

    Huge step up obviously but this is kinda the moves we need to make...banking on potential for lower priced players

    Surely means Emerson is on the way out, with Scarles looking like hes stated highly by Potter (as he should be)

    I didn't see England v Senegal but someone on here reckoned he was impressive and reports suggest he had Bukayo Saka in his pocket as well as providing some key passes

    Slavia Prague's president Jaroslav Tvrdik described Diouf as "probably the best player who has been here in the last ten years, at least with potential for the future" in a recent interview with Idnes.cz

    Emerson has made it pretty clear he wants to go back to Italy and has recently been linked with Lazio

    If we follow our usual pattern we won’t play him before Christmas because he needs to get acclimatised to the pace of the PL and then he’ll be off to the ACON so his first game could be about Easter

    Guardian has linked Harvey Elliot (again0 and Liverpool's academy graduate 22yo CM/DM Tyler Morton (14 apps with just one Premier League start back in December 2021)

    If we signed Elliott I'd be very surprised and also delighted. I'd like to think that Freddie Potts can do the job that Tyler Morton can, personally.

    I think that £25m would be a steal. I've seen that Liverpool want £40m, apparently, so I'd expect low 30s if we can get to that.

    Not a huge fan of these videos as you could probably make any player look decent enough with clips, what does seem apparent is that he is athletic, happy with the ball at his feet and also happy to shoot.

    Thanks for that, for the record I totally agree, I am sure that a collection of similar clips could make Emerson look like a world beater but it is all we have to go on.

    He seems comfortable with having a go at goal, willing to fight for a ball and appears athletic but even in this collection of favorable clips, rarely did we see examples of thoughtful distribution.

    For the time being, let’s wish him well and make sure he receives a warm welcome.

    I think he could be a brilliant buy, aged 20 with huge potential and energy. If he's also a team player, he ticks all the boxes at a reasonable price.

    Slightly nervous about our LB options being Scarles (19) & Diouf (20) next season, assuming Emerson is leaving.

    On the one hand we have people worried that our players are too old and that we should bring in younger players with more energy

    On the other we have people worrying that our players will be too young and inexperienced
