Well someone asked for it.... (like I need an excuse to write a bit)
I used my wildcard in game week 2 after taking a few things on board in terms of who was playing ( e.g Gomez ) who wasn't and basically who started well etc. So I made a fair few changes. Most of the changes were with players I'd already listed in previous long thread ( which one lol ) such as Ayew who I was keeping an eye on ( and others I picked in hope such as Ritchie because of price and last seasons stats )
My intention was always to bring in Aguero and Sanchez ( I brought Sanchez in last week knowing he wasnt 100% fit but I figure if you use your wildcard you make sure that its not just for 2 or 3 transfers ). But I wanted to see who I could alter to accommodate Aguero. I was reluctant to get rid of Rooney, despite a slow start, because Man Utd are at home to Newcastle. But the least amount of transfers entailed I need to lose him.
Ideally, I'd like to bring in Silva and Kompany ( who's started like a train and seems back to best after last years slump ). Depay is most vulnerable but he's got one more chance against Newcastle ( or I'll have to tinker further to accommodate 10M Silva for his 8.5M ) Although Damian has started really well for me, his 5.5M is the obvious target to bring in Kompany ( before he rises in price even further )
Advice on wildcard Austin? If you're gonna use it make sure you check on which teams have decent defensive fixtures in the next few game weeks allied to the players you like and have started well ( or you think they will ) in more forward positions. Thats a little less work as we all have our opinions on which MF and attackers we want. Sounds like common sense? We all have seen a few things over the last two weeks ( Man City resurgence, Chelsea sluggish etc ) and we're reacting to players like Mahrez who's cheap and allows easier accommodation of players like Sanchez
Teams like Leicester, Stoke, Man City, Swansea seem to have defensively good fixtures over the next few game weeks. Hence my keeping a Leicester defender, bringing Butland in with Schmeichel and also bringing in Glen Johnson. Gomez and Targett are cheap so they're in for price/backup.
Lol I was happy with my points this week (another goal from Benteke wouldn't have done any harm either ) + unbeaten in H2H with umm 36 games to go ;wahoo ;whistle

My team have shocking fixtures next week though so I expect to slip down.
Just brought in Obiang and Schmeichel for Roberts and Adrian.
