But he does make some odd decisions
It was simply a post bemoaning “The manager must go” stuff when we lose a game.
But hey, Slacker, you say what you want, I'm not alone who thought you were a bit insulting to others.....
As you said, I agree everyone is entitled to have their own opinions and it would be so boring if we all shared the same thoughts....
QPR beat Swansea 5-0 today. Thank goodness Kone didn't play against us the other week.
Are Alvarez/Magassa worse than our other defensive options....... No, so why are we not playing them that is on the manager IMHO. His approach has already got us relegated & some people (no names before anyone asks) atm are questioning if he will get us back up.
From the good old BBC report.
It's not the football, although that would be nice, it's simply promotion. Nuno is firmly in the promotion spots at present and our goal tally offers no reason to think he won't stay there as his side is comfortably outscoring everyone else.
We have things we need improve and things that will help us avoid nervous times later in the season hopefully, but even as we stand he is achieving the aim given to him.
Could Morato or Alvarez play as a centre back & allow Boiro to play as what is the point of having him here if we aren’t going to play him. We would quickly cancel a loan for one of our players if he wasn’t getting any game time. Magassa to tightened up the midfield.
Nuno has better options but he is currentlly refusing to use them.
I certainly didn't have a dig at anyone, including yourself......
Strange comment IMO
Mads, I've said it since the start, he's bang average and offers zilch IMO to the line up, I'd much sooner see Areola....
He loves Kante, and he seems undroppable when fit, but hey, I'm just a fan and for now, I guess it has to be in NES we trust ( sort of ).......
I still think NES won't be around too long, I'm also not sure he's the best we can get even now ( again I'm not going to say who else, because that's not my decision, but there are surely some managers out there that would look at WHUFC and think, yeh, I'd love that job.....
After all , NES failed his first job by not keeping us up last season, IMO he had long enough to sort it out but failed....playing players out of position, consistently losing games from leading positions and some very odd substitutions.....But yet we remain with him.....
Let's give him till Xmas, top 3 is a must for me, anything less, he can go......IMO
With everything there it's very clear to see, with what is available to NES re squad available, he should be getting even more out of them.
@Lukerz made a point on more than one occasion that while the results have been 'decent' the majority of the performances haven't.....
I know of course this is a points business, but it does throw some weight IMO to the fact, there are most probably other managers out there that could get a better tune out of them.....
I mean playing Taty as a lone striker, WHY......
Not involving exiled players, WHY....
Not rewarding players who deserve a start ( Austobō ) WHY......
NES will continue to just plod along, he's had a long time to sort many issues out, but has still struggled, IMO.
I think I struggle to feel the sense of disappointment in our season so far and Nuno, who is ultimately responsible for it. If I framed it in the following way and asked the question where would you like us to be to not feel the disappointment with the team or dissatisfaction with how Nuno is performing?
At present
22 points 3rd
27 goal difference 1st
If we had 25 points and top of the league, would you feel that's where we should be and that Nuno was doing his job? if so that's just yesterdays match - win that and we are top with 25pts.
If we had 31 points and so six points clear? personally I don't think we have the right to that position as we have lots of new players to get used to and a new style of play which involves taking matches to teams rather than defending and breaking.
One of our players is currently the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga!
I get it ok, it’s very obvious. IMO of course.
