10 GAMES IN ,HOW ARE WE DOING

So most teams except Wolves and Portsmouth have played 10 games ,Think i would give us a B- ,and add could do better .We have played mostly teams we should be beating .Watford,Charlton,QPR,But ended up with just 2 points out of 9 .However big wins against Wrexham and Lincoln was fun to watch .The wolves win was important as they are surpose to be up there with us ,As of today we have only played QPR in the top 10 so what do you guys think

  • Excellent GD so far.
  • We are on course to get about 87 points which is more than Ipswich Town got to finish second last season. I am looking forward to when we actually start to play well on a consistent basis as I don't think from what I have seen so far we are playing at a level most of the "our squad is good enough to run away with the league" contributors predicted. Nuno needs to be less cautious we struggled last night against nine men until just before half time. We on current form haven't played many of our main rivals so the next three games should indicate where we are heading. B- with room for a major improvement.
  • I think we are doing pretty well and I have yet to see a team in the league better than ourselves. I think we should have the points which would have put us top had we capitalised as we should have in some matches we dominated.

I concern because we are having spells when we look ordinary, but we are also having spells when we look a cut above this league. If we can bring consistency I think we will be fine.
  • For me it is an A-, I would like to see us move the ball a bit quicker and with more purpose but from what I have seen, I think we should find ourselves up there in contention for an automatic place which remains the goal, but the pundits predicting we would walk away with it were predictably, off the mark.
  • chicago, Some people on here believed we would walk away with the league, which we might still do, but the start hasn't been as any of us expected.

    Who believed that?
  • It has been as I expected, I hoped to be in the top three as quick as possible and stay there asserting as the season goes on.
  • Apologies I can't give you any names. =)
  • Job done - we needed to be up the top & we are

I can’t help but feel, no matter how we play, with the personnel we have, over 46 games, we should be top two

I expect three teams to pull away and fight it out for the two spaces, us, Southampton and Middlesborough, I expect us and Southampton to go up.

  • We're where we need to be and have more to come. Happy with that.
  • Pretty good so far. We’re seen as the big dogs by other clubs in this league and that mentality means that they will and have upped their game against us.We’re still a new team in terms of the new imports and exports but there are signs that things are starting to click, hopefully we’ll start to see improvements in the early stages of games as things gel.
  • With so many new faces in the side, it will take some time for the best team to emerge, I expect the second half of the season is where we show our strength and domination. I remain unconvinced by Nuno as our coach, but I think the players have sufficient skill to top.this league.
  • Good - the way the young/new players have made contributions; goals for column; scoring from corners. Not good - plodding along in the first half; feeble defending.
“Johnny has obvious ability, but is inclined to daydream. Should do better.”

I expect it to be us, Wolves, Southampton & Boro by the end of the season going for those top 2.
  • Southampton lost to Watford and Wrexham, drew with Lincoln and Birmingham. They look a bit dodgy

Wolves will definitely be there, like us they’ve got a Premier League squad in the Championship

Boro are good, Carrick built a solid team but I think Swansea will still be there at the end
  • B for me.

A for threat up front, B- for our midfield control and C for defence.

  • But Saints would be above us with the extra 4 points they had deducted

I imagine Swansea won’t maintain their form for all 46 games but they may well be in the play-offs
  • B- Wasted points with missed penalties, and too many games where it's takes 45 mins to even get going, saying all that a win today.........COYI.
