JWP and KWP did well, and Bowen of course. But is was such a mis-match it's hard to really evaluate performance.

All about the fitness, really. Nothing much else to be learned.

Did not watch but I have no reason to question and this is a worrying comment, intuitively dropping down to the Championship should enable him to step up and show us what he can do.

Unfortunately I have to say that for me, the jury is still out.

Hopefully he can prove me wrong, I have a nice piece of humble pie ready to go in the oven

I hope he may come good , but in all honesty my jury passed sentence and went home long ago. Dodgy transfer and will struggle in the Championship. Now Tatty who came in with him I feel will set the Champo alight and be scoring all season. I think it's just what Tatty needs, a drop in quality of defender to start scoring and he will thrive as a fan favourite and his confidence grow and grow.

IMO Pablo is not very good, but somehow his presence always made Taty look better. The pair of them are more than the sum of their parts. Not saying we couldn’t improve on Pablo, but I certainly think he has an important role in the squad.

So it turns out that one of the Sunderland legends attending the pre game meet n greet tomorrow night is Kevin Phillips…have to say that I always admired him as a player so I am looking forward to hopefully meeting him.

It turns out that he was recently manager of AFC Flyde in the National League…wonder if he was expecting to be shaking hands with someone in Nashville wearing a Hornchurch shirt.

We didn't look like scoring against Rangers, which is worrying. Need a wide-left player and somebody inventive in advanced midfield. On too many occasions we got the ball on the edge of Rangers penalty area but then played square balls or backwards. Scarles doesn't have the confidence to cross.

Thought we were alright, not got our first game for 2 weeks (3 weeks if you count league games) whereas Rangers start the SPL on Friday

Thought JWP and Kilman looked really good, think Lamadrid was tidy if not a bit weak, Kante didnt have a great game, Scarles solid defensively but needed to be a bit more positive

Pace and quality on the wings required, expect us to get some

I think defence was OK today though Hermansen had to make a few saves. We were not very good in advanced midfield and attacking areas. So, need to strengthen the squad, especially on the left-wing. It is going to be a long physical season and need cover up front.
