  • Taty and Kante for me

Last thing I’d like is Wilson starting. Would love him off the bench though to finish our chances. If we are struggling to create chances then use Pablo as a sub
  • I agree Wilson is better from the bench but Pablo is a bit like Paqueta without the sublime ability, in that it's a bit of a waste of a shirt, but at least with Paqueta there was always the chance he would suddenly do what no one else on the pitch COULD do. With Pablo it's more a chance of him doing what no one else on the pitch WOULD do.
  • I still can't get my head around how Gil Vicente bought Pablo for 250k Euros 1st July 2025 and sold him for 25m Euros exactly 6 months later.
With him and Nuno having the same agent I think it stinks, although that could be overlooked if he was actually any good, but looking back at his touch from a throw in on Sunday that led to Newcastle's third goal, I just don't get it.

Their owner is Davi di Sullivano 😁😁😁
  • I like Pablo ,But can't think of a good reason why
  • Gruev, Gudmundsson, Okafor, Stach and Longstaff all out

Struijk and Bogle back in training but facing late fitness tests
  • Right, stress preparation:I've moved an extra sofa in to hide behind; have alcoholic beverages lined up; and a printout of all Slacker's comments to give me optimism...
And astro is only showing The Match on Tuesday morning 😡
So I am reduced to watching some team play Everton, and relying on my unreliable net connection to keep me up to date via BBC and this splendid site.
    Good luck to all 🤞🤞🤞
  • Well here we are ,The day Everton and us send Spurs down

    COYI
  • Can’t wait until 6pm, season over no matter what
  • What's the general opinion here, are West Ham more likely than Everton to win or vice versa?
My opinion is that if they both win we've achieved a greater escape than Steve McQueen in the erm.... "The Great Escape" =)

Steve McQueen didn't escape in the Great Escape...
  • Hermansen, Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf, Fernandes, Souček, Bowen ©, Summerville, Pablo, Taty
Subs: Areola (GK), Wan-Bissaka, Scarles, Kilman, Potts, Magassa, Kanté, Lamadrid, Wilson
  • Well at least I think we can all agree with the starting eleven - that’s first base achieved
  • Interesting that Tobido is not on the bench
  • Right, here we go...no nerves until kick-off

Poor cross by Pablo, a good 2ft over Taty.
  • Leeds really shoulda scored there.
  • Taty drawing some fouls, one Leeds defender booked already, and now a free kick just outside their box.
  • West Ham corner now.
  • One way traffic for Spurs at Everton, similar for Leeds here against us.
  • Good spell of pressure but no clear cut chances as yet.
  • Until Pablo unleashes a decent effort but it's blocked and shoulda been a corner but the dreadful ref gives a goal kick.

    Details, mere details. =)
  • Dreadful giveaway by Diouf, but superbly regathered by Fernandes.
  • Long range effort by Fernandes stings the keepers gloves. Then Taty had a chance but his touch deserted him when he needed it most.
  • Another yellow for a Leeds player as Diouf breaks forward. Now a water break.
