  • Why does wilson not start? Losing faith in Nuno.
  • I do wonder who stays ?

Genuinely would only be sad about Bowen going and Potts now that he is an academy product into full fledged First teamer, anyone else wouldn't really care or shed a tear for.

One hell of a rebuild coming though. Hopefully with a number of youngsters as a foundation.

If we get relegated, I'll be sad to lose Bowen. Potts I think would stay and could be somebody to build around.

I don't care about anybody else in the squad tbh. We badly need a clear out and a reset
  • Does any one think there is a fair comparison to be made between the Postecoglou appointment at Forest & NES with us in that they were appointed far too quickly after they were fired and needed time to recharge their batteries and be able to reflect? I have seen nothing so far to say that Nuno is going to be able to save us, which is very worrying and sad IMHO?
  • A winnable game squandered. Why did Nuno not start with Wilson? Paqueta contributed little but Nuno took off Summerville who at least took us up the pitch. Scarles isn't EPL standard yet and his mistake cost us a goal. Why no Guilherme on the bench? Borth Todibo and Kilman were spectators for the Jiminez goal.
It is hard to see any established player joining a team deep in relegation struggle.
  • Yep, at this stage, sacking Potter after 5 games seems rash.
  • Errr .... correction "Why did Nuno not start without Wilson?"

    Please ignore ... post-match angst.
  • Bowen goes when we get relegated; surely nobody cares about anybody else here.
  • Nuno record:
    Played 13, won 2, draw 4, lost 7
    10 points from 39

I mean surely he is at risk of the sack?
  • Arsenal found it hard to beat Brighton today so we can probably rule that one out on Tuesday as another defeat which brings us to Wolves next week. They gave Liverpool a game today and will probably be without a win when we go there and we all know what that usually means.
I’m still not convinced they are fully aware of the mess they’re in.
  • And some fans believed we could turn our season around with a couple of wins from these four games, Brighton turn us over Tuesday

AWB has been a good performer for us.

I think Diouf could develop/be coached to improve. He's still young.

    I also like Fernandez.

    That's about it.

(Bowen and Potts as said before.)
  • I’d never have believed, when Moyes left, we’d be nearly in 2026 with Ollie Scarles, Dan Potts, starting in our best 11, & Wilson coming on as the salvation.

    The decline has been staggering.
  • Oh dear.

Not sure where we go from here

    I think it's called the Championship =)

Not sure Dan Potts has started for us since about 2010
  • A whole different story if we had taken the far from difficult chances that we had- Magassa, Bowen, Wilson. Those misses were unbelievable.
  • We had chances and yes, Wilson made a difference for a while when he came on and if Scarles hadn’t made that horrible air shot we probably would’ve got at least a point, but we just look like a weak team to me.
There’s no shortage of effort but so little punch.
I’m not giving up,there’s half a season to go yet, but it ain’t looking good.
  • We are going to need a finish like we had in 2007 but we have to get closer to that start point yet. 3 wins in 18 games, one of which was against the side managed by our current manager, is nowhere near acceptable. A bit worrying that he couldn’t galvanise his then team to be able to beat us and we are relying on him to get us out of this mess.
  • Going down would be bad enough
Losing Bowen would be very bad
Excrutiating would be one of our near neighbours buying him
  • What striker, or indeed any player would want sign for us in January?

    Sad times.

  • We have looked so much better with a recognized striker up top - I fail to understand how the professional coaching staff cannot see what we all see
  • Nuno has nailed his flag on the Paqueta mast which makes him reluctant to drop him or hook him.
  • Surprised at how little Nuno has got out of the side. Yes there has been ‘small’ improvement, but I really thought we’d see a dramatic change, similar to the impact Glasner had on Palace. No clean sheets in 13 games under him, still letting in 2 a game on average. Maybe we just are that bad a squad of players or maybe Nuno is not all he appeared at Wolves & Forest.

Seeing a few fans say relegation will be good as Sullivan & Brady will go.

    They won’t.

The club’s value drops by 50% in the Championship & they’ve not been open to selling so far whilst being in the PL at peak value.

Nobody buys it in the Champ & they certainly don’t actively look to sell it.
  • So @Lukerz, What do you genuinely see them doing about ensuring we stay up?
  • Forest have turned a corner, we are already 5 points off them... not sure where those 5 points are coming back from, Leeds also showing lots of fight and Bournemouth got a huge result today...9 points ahead

Feels like final nail in the coffin

I worry this club wont survive the championship in this stadium

    Happy holidays
  • .....and Bournemouth got a huge result today...9 points ahead

Yeah, they got stuffed 4-1 by Brentford 😂🤣😂.

    Hahha got that one wrong...

    There is a chance....nah we ain't getting 9 points
  • The one thing still in our favour is that we've yet to play Wolves, whereas the other teams around us have. If, and I know it's a big if, we win that then suddenly we're possibly 2 points behind Forest who we then play at home on 6th Jan, so potentially we could be above them even if we don't get anything from the Brighton game.

I know I'm clutching at straws, but with 2 very winnable games coming up it's too soon for me to give up all hope just yet, despite how down I'm feeling after today's game. I do also think Sullivan will make a serious effort to sign a couple of players as relegation hits his pocket the hardest (always a silver lining).
